Please nerf tank damage already!

Can we please tone down tanks. It’s not even funny anymore how much damage they can do on top of having CC and huge health pool. Just look at my recent game below. Diablo was dealing as much damage as Samuro, Tass, Sylv and Xul! In siege and exp they were all close to each other too except for Xul!! Enemy Muradin was top damage over DoT damage Malth with nearly top exp too! And he self healed almost as much as either healer did total healing! Where are the tank nerfs we’ve been expecting?!? Fort targeting wasn’t enough nerf for them. Put a blanket nerf to them like you did to healers so they no longer deal assassin level damage!

If only your team focused the tank, then their tank would have to back off and therefore won’t be able to do much damage…

Yeah, let’s nerf tanks even more so the few people that play them just give up the role and we can have 5 vs 5 assassins in all games.

Random person appears on the forums and asks for balance changes because this person must really understand the game and how to balance it.
Maybe send an application to Blizzard xD

Afk DW go carried hard i see. 8k hero dmg and 2k exp done and yet you could not win the game 5v4.

But someone said “Focus Morales”. Therefore I have to.

You can’t attack the tank. That’s against the law.

That’s because tanks are broken! We tried all focusing him but he never dies and his team kills us. We tried ignoring him and he kills everybody. Tanks need to be nerfed!!!

Muradin was probably an extremely high MMR smurf - managed to carry a practically AFK Deathwing while killing the enemy team left and right.

Just goes to show even 1 player like that is not automatically a loss - if you are good enough at HotS. Apparently no need to even play a ranged assassin, Muradin will do just fine.

You can also see he went full hammer build too but ults i dont know.

Clearly the tank is just a better player in this game. By level 24 as Sylvanas I would have normally had at least double that damage

Imagine ever picking Muradin right now when Tracer exists like she currently does

Yeah please let’s make people dislike tanking even more.
More like the poor guys played with players so bad they had time to ramp up those damage stats.

Like, even Rehgar had more damage than most of the assassins lmao. Such a clown fiesta.

Well you can if you play with teamplayers who pick point and click CC or reliable range damage to force her to E so that you delete her with Q’s.
If you are solo frontlane and they all pick skillshot build mages, RIP.

I think it has more to do with the damage dealers not stepping up. What were they doing while Diablo was pumping out damage?

That xp soaking tho

Muradin has less CC than most tanks. And the only stun he has is a skill shot, so it can be missed. In exchange he deals more damage, and he can talent into damage, at the cost losing sustain and survivability.

This doesn’t actually matter. The damage stat is very often irrelevant. If I target no one but the enemy tank every fight, and never kill it, my damage stat will be super high, but I’ll be contributing nothing to my team. If I’m an assassin and my tank doesn’t show up for the objective on time, my damage will be low because I don’t have an engage. Tassadar had less damage than Malthael, but he has the most kills.

Looking at your picture, what strikes me most is how little xp your team got. And that the enemy Death Wiing contributed pretty much nothing to his team. But again, Muradin is limited in peel, so he deals more damage. (Note that he’s not considered to be one of the best tanks at high levels and you rarely see him picked)

The thing is, if they are doing high amounts of damage, they are sacrificing CC and survivability. In addition, assassins are usually the ones soaking XP, taking camps, working on the objective, or other things that contribute to a win, but not necessarily to the stats page. It also depends somewhat on the map, and how competent the enemy team is. There are some matches where I will be spending a lot of time scouting, anchoring, or zoning, meaning I am not generating any numbers at all, but I am still contributing to my team.

So, here is a bit of a question back at you, what numbers are reasonable for a tank, and how should a tank’s kit work with the rest of their team? Here is a match I played over the weekend:

Were my numbers on Johanna too high that she needs a nerf? Does Garrosh need a buff? Or did we simply draft and play better than the enemy team?

This is just complete BS. Muradin is one of the few tanks that can truly dish out damage and we have no idea what the build were. You could have taken a stupid Malth build or the Mura a pure damage build.

Tanks are not that strong. If they were more people would play them…

You can see the talents at the top of the screen, as this was from a replay. Muradin went full bruiser build, and the OP’s team clearly ate a ton of his Qs. You can’t see the heroics, but I assume the Rehgar went Bloodlust, too. That will always boost any tank’s damage numbers.
