Patchnotes that I want

bugfix
-5 stacks go against 5 stacks. We’ll no longer be sacrificing solo players. We apologize for ever being so stupid as to allow this in the first place. 5 stacks always claim on the forum they want a challenge and to play with their friends. They will now get to sit in queue until a worthy enemy manifests.

-Shift+q breaks too many characters. Tracer escaping aoe damage/silence and Sammy to name the obvious. We’ve decide to remove this artifact that came from SC2.

-Players were able to afk/intentional feed for extended periods of time without consequence because of the bugged reporting system. We’ve reduced the number of reports to give these players the experience they earned. After enough afk punishments, player will only be able to play AI games.

QoL

-Solo players have option to queue against and with other solo players. We realize it was pretty crappy to ask diamond/gm to babysit 4 drastically lower skilled players.

-QM Queue Options for fast awful queue or slow quality queue.

-Once a player has been afk for 5 minutes, the team with the afk can vote to end the match.

balance
-Genji mobility nerf or rework cyber agility to no longer give 50% spell armor for 4 seconds.

-Aba hat breaks too many heroes. New mechanic, aba’s Q is no longer global. Besides now having limited range, when cast on a hero aba is revealed for 1 second. This will require aba to micromanage slug’s location.

-Naz. Spiders now are leashed to their jar location, they will not be able to go beyond x distance from it. Ice block replaced. It no longer gives invuln, but grants a decaying shield that slows movement for x seconds.

-Valla Q damage with unlimited level 1 quest was brainless, we realize that now and will be turning the damage down or giving it a max count.

-Unstoppable/Stun/Protection. Once a hero has received one of these effects they will no longer be able to receive this effect again for x seconds.

-Hogger either hp regen nerf on level 1 or pummel nerf. Slight buff to his other builds to help with variety. Consider limiting time he can be perma unstoppable or make it a talent option.

-Zera either slight damage reduction or light nerf to his mobility. Zera shouldn’t win just because team doesn’t have cc.

-Nova Maximum Q stacks increased.

-Kerrigan slight reduction to her Chrysalis

-Chogall mild nerfs to prevent orb build + “we made it to level 20 we win”

Sure, if the playerbase is 10000x bigger than now, otherwise you’re just punishing people for playing with friends, which would kill the game.

Sure, but only if false reports didn’t do anything and people false reporting also got punished and their reports stopped working after a while like in other games.

Can’t increase punishment if people can still false report.

RIP Hero league… best gamemode.

This divides the playerbase even more, so no. Unless 10000x bigger playerbase.

But, we already have fast awful QM queue and slow quality ranked queue. Just choose one.

This is good. No team should be forced to play with AI.

Already in a bad place, no need to nerf even more the overnerfed guy.

This is cool, but I think he was already nerfed a lot based on global Q. Probably would need to buff him again depending on the range.

Double nerf would require lots of buffs to compensate. Probaly need to make him tankier as well, otherwise he is easily killed. If he is revealed for 1 sec, he need to have the global range then.

This is terrible. It just breaks a lot of the game, stops chain CC, stops strategies, stops focusing on the same hero, stop dive comps, stop blow up comps… It just breaks the whole game.

He doesn’t though. It’s usually because people don’t know how to play against.

As bad as that is ofc you will end up making more people leave by continue this. Only about 10% plays in stacks so why punish it for the last 90% who plays solo/duo.

It’s hardly a punishment when most of the games that are matched are perfectly viable. It’s only a tiny minority of try hard stacks that really ruin it for other people. Ultimately, it’s a team game. Even the idea of “playing solo” is kind of a weird thing to emphasize. And I say that as someone who primarily solos.

Please no, us AI players don’t want em either.

Broken record. That’s already what the game does unless it cannot find a team.

So, false reports?

The rest just sounds like you want to nerf abilities you personally have a hard time with.

You can’t just claim this one without even solid evidence.

I really like shift queueing. The benefits vastly out weigh the bugs. Plus why not just patch the bugs?

Anyone with a channel loves shift queueing. Which is everyone sense mounting and turning/capping are also channels.

lul wishful thinking, but I would also love this.

This would be a hilarious way to nerf Aba (who needs a hat nerf more than anything else), I approve.

Spiders are leashed to jar location already, but they won’t leash at normal movement speed because their short duration will be up by the time you move out of range. If you use a strong speed boost/wall ride they will “evade” and return to jar location. They’ll also swap targets if you stealth/invuln/become untargetable etc.

Naz’s Iceblock is overrated so idc if it gets a nerf. Superstition is a broken talent against any non-AA heavy comp and is far too overlooked, especially if you’re Spider build.

I don’t think there’s anyone who actually doesn’t want this. If the game ever gets enough players again to support a queue like this, I’m sure wed go back to it immediately and everyone would be happier for it.

Well there’s player perception and the actual quality in matchmaking and times. I think everyone would theoretically like that in some fantasy world where there were enough players for all modes, but it just rarely ever works out like that in reality EVEN when populations are “healthy”.

Because once you bifurcate queues by 5 mans, matchmaking quality drops DRAMATICALLY for the 5 mans. This is why Blizzard had to immediately drop the idea of Team League being 5 stacks vs 5 stacks only, way back when there were a lot more people. The reasoning for this is pretty simple. Why would I play as a 5 man when it’s a bigger pain to organize, game matching will not only be probably worse, but will take a lot longer. The incentives are misaligned, and now you’re encouraged NOT to join a group in a group game.

I remember in WOW for rated battlegrounds that required a full group vs other full groups. The barrier to entry was so high. Finding a group to organize 10-15 people was hard enough. But that had no bearing on whether your team would be successful. You have only a handful of teams that are playing at any given time which makes for extremely poor matchmaking. Because my guild was pretty high rated, my group would spend a LONG time queueing and swing between crushing bad teams or pick up teams and get few if any points and getting owned by the top top teams. I still think that’s how the game “should” be played, but what we want doesn’t necessarily equate to quality given the circumstances.

Allowing 5 stacks to queue into other group comes with its own problems, but I think it’s still the better solution because it just allows for far more flexibility to create fair matches when you just have a bigger pool of players to adjust for MMR. Facing against 5 stacks is fine most of the times. People like to exaggerate and scapegoat their losses when facing against them while conveniently ignoring when they win.

Patch notes i want:

“Scheduled cancelation and server shutdown for the game, set for 2025. Now extended to 2032”.

Edit: Also increase the damage of Hammer’s Ambush talent from 125% to a full 200%. Nobody picks that talent anyway so it won’t matter…hehehehehee.

I mean, ppl can joke and stuff, and have a negative opinion about 5stacks against non-5stacks, but calling it a bug is disingenuous.

Do you mean by that that not even a 4stacks + 1 solo can go against a 5 stack?

To me, these feel like scapegoats. Like certain players try to latch on anything to blame instead of facing their own lackings. “We lost because”:

  • the enemy was in a bigger party
  • the enemy had the better comp
  • the enemy had [insert noobstomper Hero with subpar overall stats in high ranked environment]

And similar stuff, when on the long run, only your own input matters.
