Orphea is super op

Are guys insane? Please nerf her. She is constantly killing entire teams and her stunning ult on a 50 second cooldown?

Also she has WAYYY too much health. She can cast strong spells from safety, strong aa and has mad health compared to other mages? Nerf her.

Q: Slow and easy to dodge, meaning her mobility is limited if you pay attention

W: Super low range and windup, easy to predict and dodge.

E: Telegraphed and easy to see coming.

R1: Easy to see coming and easy to move out of since no slow component is added.

R2: Skillshot is perpendicular to Orphea rather than parallel, meaning its hard to group enemies up given most engagements happen from side to side, not up and down.

Trait: Can be blocked completely with blinds and/or evades, removing her stacks and denying her healing.

Here’s the thing OP. Most of the people who would agree with you have left this game, and the forums too. The only people who are left are the people who believe that Blizzard and every decision they make can never be wrong. So, in this belief, they will bend over backwards with every kind of rationalization, every kind of justification for Blizzard’s ridiculous choices.

Of course, this is just like most of the internet: it’s all an echo-chamber. But yeah, criticizing this insane new hero will just bring out the “defenders”. Reminds me of the absolute garbage that Bethesda pumped out with Fallout: 76… it’s trash, but the ardent defenders of it would die before they accept anything negative about their baby.

Only thing OP about Orphea in her current state is how adorable she is.

That 45% winrate sure is consistently killing entire teams and her stunning ult… So safe, such AA, much win.

She is rather underwhelming so far tbh.

I think they released her under tuned in purpose. They probably didn’t want people to go nuts about first nexus original hero. She is also a mid range mage whose survival depends on succesful skill shots. It will take a little longer for most people to learn her. I don’t believe they’ll leave first nexus original hero in shadows for long.

Dear god though I played against one combined with a Mal earlier today, it was destructive.

Q doesn’t seem that hard to hit unless the person is actively trying to dodge it and has no reason (animations) to stand still ever too.

Anyway, on topic to the OP, I think she’s fine but has a bit too much sustain on her chomp level 7, and with how her level 1 is set up you really have no reason to not take ancient strength.

Maaaybe the chomp upgrade is too good since if you hit it whoever gets tagged should just die unless you have like, Medivh or Uther or something. -25 armor is huge with how much burst damage she has.

No hero with such AoE 1shot potential (with setup or not) should have ult like Crushing Jaws available in every fight, especially late game, by definition. Also dunno why they bother with talents/quests like Ravenous Hunger… It will cause drama sooner or later.

Far from “super op” tho.

She’s so trash because of her delays her winrate reflects it, and sometimes isn’t fun to play because of it. The “reward” of hitting them and claim she’s OP just isn’t reality.

OP? seriously I think she is extremely underwhelming and feels really clunky, her attacks don’t feel fluid, they have annoying ranges and she is incredibly easy to counter. No wonder she was free.

she s a typical noob stomper with one broken talent (stacking her w dmg endlessly)
but if the enemy is playing well and ur team cant support u properly for what ever reason she s kinda underwhelming

She’s a noob stomper with 45% winrate?

Pretty undertuned. Even a full combo doesnt always wipe heroes…

Stacked E on point, Crushing Jaws on point, Waltz close, Chomp from E, Chomp and AA, and still.

If i hit the full combo with KTZ they usually die.

Maybe they should think about nerfing the lvl1 +25% dmg bonus, add more CDs on heroics, but buff her baseline dmg. Not feeling rewarded when i hit combos with her.

i think she needs a bit of skill to be good with her and i hope u r not bringing the winrate argument because u think only dia+ players r playing her

No her cast times are literally slower than molasses. You can be skilled at prediction all you want, it’s easy to dodge her skills. She suffers similar gameplay to Chromie, very short ranged skills and a forced reliance on autoattacking on a relatively squishy hero. Missing one Q is enough to die in most situations, and it’s exceedingly easy for anyone paying attention to you to sidestep it if they aren’t slowed/stunned at the time.

Yeah, thats why KTZ is trash.

Dunno why you people use winrates as argument while talking about hero with one of the highest skill floors. After 3 days.
I mean here both UP and OP.

Someone literally just drew a comparison between the two, and the reality is KTZ is much better. You’re claiming she has the highest skill floor after only 3 days. To me, she’s just an AOE nuker with some delayed skills. I don’t really feel like I’m working towards being a rocket scientist lining up a shot and hoping someone doesn’t just walk away, to deal as much damage as they can just right clicking me.

I purchased her and to be honest… not like other heroes who are released and are OP… orphea… is underwhelming… she’s very easy to kill.

Not to mention her ULTs are really easy to dodge.

She relies on combos and landing hits. If you don’t land an ability… orphea is not for you.

Looking at her cast times, her dash is less a bonus, and more a compensation for how much potential movement she loses by standing still to cast her spells.
