I know blizzard actually created those things but I still think they should add a special option to report this. Who’s with me in this project?
Monstrosity is perfectly viable on larger maps.
Orb Ming is okay, but on the maps you “want” Li Ming, it is not ideal imo,
I dunno what is wrong that you would report this. If someone is taking them and throwing on purpose with them sure… But you can do that with any talents.
Im guessing you have had some bad games with these talents that other players chose? Sorry you feel this way, but the existence of the talents and the person who chose them(no matter how improperly) is there choice too make.
no
But Mounstrosity is a real monstrous talent. A good Aba can become a monster with that heroic.
Monstrosity can be useful in the rare situation where no one on your team is an even half decent clone target.
Orb build is never good.
Monstrosity is a bit of a grey area for me.
It can be powerful and it can be useless.
It’s useless if the team is good at hunting them down whenever it’s spawned. Or if the enemy team has good anti-monstrosity heroes like Artanis with his upgraded W against non-heroes.
It’s crazy strong against heroes who have little-to-no escape abilities.
A good example is Mephisto. It absolutely destroys him.
This is a video of a fully stacked Aba Monster, with the level 20 talent for 100% more AA damage vs a Mephisto.
Medivh has the same problem. At best he can get away by portaling away, but due to how the monster isn’t an actual hero so is his damage incredibly worthless against it and he might as well not bother it alone.
Chromie sort of the same but atleast she can hit it with Q’s now compared to before.
I have wondered if it should be designated a hero. Would that be a good or a bad thing, balance wise?
While it could be attacked by spells that usually only hit heroes, it could also be healed or buffed, like by a stimpack.
I love those games where I pick Monstrosity and casually kill 3 enemy heroes single-handedly before the monstrosity is killed and I proceed with my usual Abathur business. Don’t underestimate things in this game. “Report monstrosity” smh
Yea no, you don’t get to report people for picking different talents.
Monstrosity is a perfectly viable ultimate, and I often get more value from it than I do from Clone, as clone often dies in 2-3 sec after spawning, unless it’s used before the fight, in which case enemies may decide to disengage, or not engage at all, in which case you are left with a wasted heroic, and no value. It could sometimes be good, but if you are going hat build on Abathur, you help your team more by just Q-ing on them instead of spawning the clone, especially after level 20. Monstrosity allows you to push-soak a lane while you are helping your team in TFs. And it can also be absolutely devastating against some heroes, especially after it gets several stacks.
It’s only bad when enemy team is actively hunting it down, or when you are too busy helping your team to have time to babysit it, in which case it just dies eventually, but in these cases, it does get some value before it dies.
As for Orb build Li Ming, what’s wrong with it? That’s my go-to build when enemy team has lots of ranged heroes, as I can easily out-poke them. While her other builds trade a lot worse with ranged heroes. Its only weakness is diving heroes, really. And the damage it deals is pretty insane as well - 1000+ damage per cast, on… think it was something like 4 sec cooldown.
If we are already winning,i don’t care what aba picks but if we need the clone and he gets monstrosity,i report them.Kinda lost count
We all have that ability/ult that we don’t want an ally to take and YET they do (resulting into huge backfire/misuse), my #1 of the kind is Gorge… Yeah, might “work” after lvl20 and pay off the “investment” but really find that ult beyond terrible, 9/10 times backfires HARD on your team as well as puts Stitches (your supposed-to-tank) out of position by default
About Monstrosity though = if, IF you can get it into a teamfight if/when needed it’s super huge asset, if not it’s a liability for the whole game your team has to “make up for”… Kinda used to play quite a bit of Abathur on BoE, bringing the Monstrosity inside the Immortal-fight area is like huge nightmare to deal with, especially when having it well-fed lol
Orb builds are absolute murder in ARAMs where you can constantly get off CDR and resets.
And what do you think you actually achieve with that report?
Nothing is the answer.
Perhaps you’re a bit overaggressive with it.
It give your team a chance to be 5vs5 in importants teamfights.
Joke build, useless poke damage, usually end hitting wrong heroes, no kill potential, 40% winrate on hotslogs. Basically a blind hammer
It just gets hit by abilities while its spawning during TFs. It basically loses half of its HP before it can even do anything.
I stand my ground, that hat gives your team more value than a clone in TFs, when you go for hat talents. Especially after level 20, you are left with a dead ultimate, that you should never use.
Do it before, if your team is all hard engagement heroes.
And force an engagement, or win an objectives
If you “win” the reason for the team fight, by forcing them to retreat, you’ve gotten value!
But for like 95% of the time there are good clone targets that are not all in the fight. based on my personal experience. Which of course is not the end all be all.
I agree!
Only exception is if you have someone they’re trying to burst/dive. Like a KTZ, or Gul’dan as your main DPS.
In that case, the shield from clone might be better. But I think it is debatable.
i wouldnt say its never good. its not as flexible as other options.
personally i prefer Q.
I get it’s a joke (isn’t it?) but some people seem to actually want to report for talent picks, LeL. In seriousness that is a bad idea that would result in everyone reporting everyone to the secret police and that isn’t a world anyone wants to live in. Chill.
Orb ming is fine, but Monstrosity 200% sure reported
