Who else would appreciate the implementation of an option to sell owned heroes? … And with selling I mean “trading” them for a small (not 1:1) amount of gold or even only shards.
Would help new players that get a free hero out of a chest that doesn’t suit their playstyle
would help veterans to get rid of their high lvl heroes that were reworked/nerfed and that they no longer want to play
would help to “resort” heros in the roster by being able to “resett” the lvl of a hero if he was accidentaly played to often an reached a too high lvl.
Instead of that. I think a BETTER way would be of being able to sell ANYTHING for ANY amount.
For instance. Selling my common portrait (that may be worth 10 gold) for = 10,000 gold
I m pretttttttty sure there are several frends who will be willing to purchase that highly inflated priced piece of crap just to shift some useless gold to their lower level frends.
As many here have 100,000 gold with all heroes owned and nothing to use it for
Honestly, I would rather have an option to gift heroes I don’t play to a bnet friend. I think that would help new players more. Obviously they would restart at level 1, but I certainly do not need more gold/shards.
I guess I see no problem with this, provided you sell them for gold and don’t get any spent gems back (the devs have to make money somehow). Just can’t imagine not wanting every hero unlocked - a combination of gold, gems, and patience got me there and I wouldn’t give any one of them up for anything, even those I still have at lv1. Just having the option there is enough.
You dont, but ur new bnet frends do, reaching a certain level makes gold just stack up reaching 100,000 or more, i seen frends with 200,000 gold with all heroes purchased, and nothing available to throw gold at.
Better if they can donate gold to a bnet frend…
gifting heroes can work too, but gold can get you anything you want,
Eh, I am not entirely sold on handing over gold, but portraits, sprays, heroes, mounts, and other things you can purchase with it makes sense. I can see the rationale behind keeping currency non-tradeable. As far as I am concerned, if it can come in a lootbox, I should be able to do anything I want with it, regardless of how I acquired it originally.
Whenever you get a duplicate Hero/Portrait/Spray/Banner, it adds a +1 to the already owned item. (You can still get the Shards earned from the duplicate.) The additional duplicate can be sent to a friend of yours, free of charge, without you losing the original item.
Skins and Mounts should be an exception because majority can be obtained through Loot Chests and Shards, and new players have better chance at getting non-duplicates cuz duh, they’re new.
Alternate idea:
Same above except to gift a Hero, the sender must first ‘complete’ the Hero through collecting Hero Fragments.
Number of collecting the fragments differ based on the rarity of a Hero:
Yeah, that would be one of the restrictions, if you bought a hero for 15/10k gold (or gems) you could only sell it for may 2k or even less and not for gems … but at least the hero is gone.
I think you all fokus on the wrong point of my question … I don’t really care about paying for heroes or getting something for them, I just want a way to SORT my heroes that can be implemented through existing means without having to impelement an actual sorting-system. But yeah …
new players dont know enough about meta, mechanics, maps, etc. to make educated descisions about heroes really. (i.e much more likely to have selling remorse and complain about needing a buyback option.)
from a vet point of view its practically useless to me. i have piles of gold, gems, chests, and own pretty much all the heroes.
they wont reset the hero level even if you were able to sell heroes. its just like playing the free rotation. the level remains on the hero… you just cant play it anymore off rotation.
