Would like to be able to opt out of the expanded bronze paired with solo diamond/masters qm search. If it hits 30 seconds+ I can almost guarantee I will get at least 1 bronze ally that will gift the enemy team a very favorable win chance. And no, justice warriors, the enemy team doesn’t have a bronze, they usually have at lowest silver-plat.
I keep canceling at 28 seconds, since waiting until 30 usually goes ahead and locks in a auto loss game. I don’t mind waiting 5 minutes, if that is what it takes to have a mild chance at a win. As is i’m waiting 2-3 hours in order to get a fair match, so 5 minutes is fine. I would just like to not have to constantly sit here and click cancel.
No these games aren’t carrayble.
When I say bronze teammates I’m referring to players
-taking quest talents and end the game with single digit stacks(eg Q Valla)
-refuse to mount(I had two players this morning who refused to mount, because they can walk to the otherside of the map, why should we mount? Don’t ask us to mount, that’s toxic)
-won’t use one of their abilities because its just too hard to land(Imperius who used his Q 3 times the entire game)
-absolutely no map awareness, running directly into 1vs5 when we have vision
-multiple afk breaks
-dying versus minions and camps
-using ults to handle minions
-don’t know how to mount or b to heal
-high level hero and yet have no idea how abilities work(auriel who won’t use her D…
I mean still don’t because you taking the time to make a whole 5 page rant on proper mounting is wasting far more time then me not mounting every time i wanna move 10 feet.
I have to somehow agree partly to what he is saying. Of course the match making isn’t rigged but it remains deeply flawed in quick match (of course, it’s quick match so one shouldn’t be expecting the most balanced match ».
I believe the way the match making works in this game is by putting players on each side to make the average MMR of both teams similar. The problem with this for high level players is you are often match with really low level players on your team. The game expects you to carry and it can feel stressful to feel like you are the one needing to make the plays. I have no way of being certain of this but I’ve observed several times me (grandmaster SL and master QM MMR) being in the same team with bronze and silver players against a bunch of gold and platinum player.
On average, the MMR are the same on both team. It’s about balanced because I will win about 50%. But god damn does these losses feel incredibly frustrating. I’m here just trying to have fun with some off meta heroes and I have a Jaina on my team that dies 14 times and dealing 9k dmg in a 16 minute game.
In storm league, it’s the same system with the average MMR but there is a league restriction so grandmasters and bronze can’t be in the same games.
In the last patch in order to combat smurfing, Bliz made any new accounts with Smurf in their name, automatically treated as if they are diamond/masters
Agreed, I’ve commented (too many times) about how I dislike MMR averaging. At this point for QM there isn’t much else they could do if that want to retain the quick part of the mode.
