Opinion on Probius

So I’ve heard everyone says Probius sucks and badly needs a rework. As a Probius main, I can’t say I’m 100% disagree, but he can work in many cases. Out of my frustration where everyone disgusts me when I pre-select Probius, I actually made a Probius montage.

If you guys could watch it and tell me your opinion, I’d really appreciate that. Thank you in advance!

As a “how to use Probius” it’s useless because it’s just making good plays. So as a teaching tool of how to play Probius it’s worthless.

It’s a cool video and put together. The name just “triggers” me.

In terms of power he is fine, if not slightly OP.

Would not mind a mini rework aiming to make him less niche, and a tiny bit weaker…

But he is not in urgent need of that—there are heroes that need it far more.

He is god. :robot:

Yea you are right about the title. I fixed it

Btw I’m curious about who is the hero that needs rework you mentioned.

Thing is in the video, he didn’t do much alone that was super amazing, and I’ve seen a few S class heroes that were wandering about in probius’s team. When he did go alone those spot lights came up to heroes that were pretty much B or C class.
However the light bulb has surprise me with the amount of punching power he has when I was using him. I was able to delete squishies with Wey line, Most, Taunt, and VP set ups. The hard part was staying alive (probuis is easily killed with a fart of burst) and arriving at the right moment.
I speculated on how I could use him during Team fights, but his team fights is heavily relied on his survivability which means his teamates. Maybe a heavy frontline or clutch like Medivh.
I’ll prob reply later. I’ll have some info to share, and it’s not really useful to me since I don’t like the hero’s play style.

how to play probious
step1: play vs retards

Do probius usually solo or stay in 4man? I’m a bit confused about that

4 man…ppl that think he can solo lane with out getting ganked to hell every 10 seconds only follow step 1 of the 3 steps to play the butt probe

Offlane, if he does not need to contest an objective in a lane. He could soak and keep the towers pretty healthy due to his cannon.
4 man to clear the minions, chaff, and whatever is in the way of the lane. Almost acting like a mage since he punishes the frontline.
Main things you want to know playing Probius:
The probe obviously has a small health pool and almost no armor. A dive can be pretty quick to take the probe out with a few abilities.
He suffers quite alot against enemies with crowd control abilities. Especially mages.
His dps obviously needs set up, and offers little to no instant setup of CC.
When playing probius, you want to cover as much ground as you can for an early warning system, and have good vision around your area. This takes time to set up, but rewarding to it’s purpose. Using his pylons in bushes or in areas where the enemy can flank you. You do the same in team fights but set up quickly. Think defensively as possible.
Warp rifts are your main source of burst but also your main source of defense. The ‘slow’ effect the warp rift offers- is valuable when escaping, and creating a choke point. Attacking with a warp rift (W) you want to micro as many warp rifts close together as possible. To blow the enemy up with a massive chunk of Dps using your (Q) into your warp rifts that were placed ontop of the enemy . Best to be prepared to follow up your (W) with your ally who has some sort of stun or immobilizing abilites.
Defending or during teamfights, you don’t want to blow up your warp rifts, but instead use them to act as obstacles for the enemy. Punish your enemy by blowing up rifts when they try to pass through them. Give your team the defenses of the warp rifts to slow and slog your enemy team down during team fights. Clear the enemy minions quickly- probius excels at that.
A neat tactic is hiding in a rift to discourage dives, gap closers, or any enemy from getting close.
Placing your cannon like a meat shield against damage (Hanzo or Li-Ming trying to skill shot you for example), or place them in areas they will do the most damage. The cannon is pretty tanky and can also be a good obstacle for running away while the cannon damages incoming enemies. It’s also good for being an anchor for clearing waves or capturing camps.
Where probius shines the most is when you are sieging a wall or fort/keep. Clear the minions, keep the structures occupied on your pylons and cannons, and while your allies move around freely behind enemy lines. When retreating, probius Pylon Overcharge is great for covering fire for retreating forces, while laying down warp rifts to discourage enemy further walking over them. You can also use the Pylon Overcharge to begin or end a siege.
Null gate is optional by placing it in a choke point or placing it prefectly by a fleeing enemy. Blowing them up with warp rifts after, but I was never really a fan of that kind of play.

Time to play Probius when I get home. Love how much zone control and absurdly high burst damage he has.

Ive liked the video. Loved the one on ch at the middle. But do realise that 1 complication of nice moments only shows potential. What it could be. But it doesnt tell much else. I can make a video about twinblades or aba mine build and can praise its good.

Best thing to do in my opinion. Upload a unranked or storm league and show the other 99%. Not one where you stomp the enemy ofcourse that says more about them then about you. Just your team struggling but you carry as prob

Tip and Trick: Full Warp Rift DPS
Level 1 talent: Echo Pulse - Disruption Pulse now returns to Probius 1.25 seconds after reaching its target, dealing 75% damage on the return trip.
synergizes with
Level 20 talent: Probius Loop - Whenever a Rift explosion hits 1 or more enemy Heroes, create a new Warp Rift in the same location.
Practice this as a follow up to root or stun.

It’s a very well recorded video.
I can see the Probius gameplay and the abilities being used for the advantage of the team.
I don’t understand why you added music.
It’s just that the game already has themed music.
