Valla is still not nerfed btw.

The game has massive problems in terms of game quality and balancing since years. Should it be a prove that developers have the better ideas when the game is on a huge decline since ages. How many of your friends still play the game?

The only massive problem HotS has is a terrible reconnection.
The balance is good, and it’s THE BEST if you compare it to the balance of other MOBA games.

That’s a weird question to ask, but okay, i will answer.

She is actually, I consider W build as balanced atm, it’s her Q build that feels more troublesome to me, but this will be fixed soon too. I don’t even find her Strafe 20 upgrade as a problem, but that Q 4 talent in combination with her 20 Acrobat.

I don’t find it OP tho. She needs A LOT of stacks to deal BIG damage, and she is a still a very squishy target. Yeah, if she has 100+ stacks, then you are doomed (most of the time), but it’s actually hard to do against good players.

Weirdly, the game is on decline since 2018 (soon after Blizzcon) when the Company (not the devs or the game) said that the promised HGC is cancelled and the game is on maintenance mode from now on.
The game itself had its greatest year in 2018. But Acti-Blizz said nope. Why?:
They made horrible moves.

  • They forced an esport scene and thus sunk money
  • They made Lootchests and centred the game’s income around it which they latter changed to free (Gold-only)
  • They made Diablo Immortal and the “yOu HaVe PhOnEs” 200 iq pr move. Diablo was in trouble, they had to speed up Diablo IV asap. Thus HotS devs were “stolen”.
  • They said HGC will come back in 2019. Just to take it back a few weeks/months latter making pro players unemployed.
  • They said that the game is on maintenance mode and will barely see updates (since HGC was a money-sink, the game lost its income source and they had to redirect many of its devs, thus it wasn’t worth it on a Company-lvl)
  • The Chinese drama

And sadly way more. Activision-Blizzard lost a lot of Blizzard’s pride and prestige and since HotS was “only the 3rd most popular moba” and they had WoW, HS and OW for the big moneys with Diablo Immortal and Diablo IV on its way, they sacrificed the “love letter”.

The game was not in a decline, the game was kicked where it hurts on its peak because they messed up and needed a sacrifice.

It’s amazing how gamers assume they know more about what is right for the game just because they played it but also don’t have any game design experience that they are now better than the devs themselves.

Fun fact: it’s not simple job, and you aren’t better, wake up.

It isn’t too hard to stack, if she reach 4 and always get resets for E. Her shots are instant like Nova’s Q.

And that’s why I have problems with that, because the combination of 4 and 20 makes her more powerful, but also more mobile. More mobility is a great compensation for being “very squishy target”, on top of that you can shot 3-4 Q shots to completely destroy almost anyone (it’s late game and you will have most likely 40+ stacks). On top of that you also melt Immortals or any other camp (with Monster Hunter). I mean D.Va’s Rush down was nerfed, because it was too good at some point, but Valla is fine? I can clear camps faster than old D.Va at 7 with Monster Hunter and the resets on Q. Only one, who is faster is pre-nerf Hogger.

Gameplay of some kind is what i meant, i have beaten higher mmr GMs like they are bronzes. I want to see him play.

That would heavily depend on the country though, and the US is generaly very strict at this, and the EU is to a lesser degree (but often still very strict).

In both countries, as long as blizzard does something with the characters or the engine, copy right will be maintained. And this will last for like 50 years. Games like this generaly wont survive that long, so even if they reach the public domain, its unlikely going to be decent in both playability, and playerbase.

Now, sure, some countries are a bit flexible when its about non-profit. But even here there are very strict boundaries. And do note, nintendo is still acting strict regarding mario bros. (mods for this are allowed, but only if you own a legit copy of the game).

And last, the server code was never released, so that is not going to be allowed to be used. Which means someone has to spend effort to somehow clone its behaviour. For a game like this, thats unlikely going to happen. And if the code gets leaked, its generaly not legit to be used either, so fixing that code would guarantee a takedown of that keeping the game unplayable.

Even modding the client can already be a problem regarding law. Its that nintendo noticed how popular the modding community was for their games, that they did allow it under certain conditions. But 5 years ago this also was considered illegal.

Knowing how lawsuit oriented activision already is (just like EA, nintendo, sony, etc) dont expect this game to ever reach the public domain unless activision decides to do that themselve.
