Old replays no longer viewable

It really is too bad we can’t watch any replays that aren’t with the current patch. You always could before, but now I can’t watch a game from this weekend that I wanted to see.

I just tried and it does not work indeed; before it would just download a bit and do just fine. I can only imagine they did some changes to the engine that make this fast patching impossible between the previous and current version.

We´ll have to see if this stays this way or if the next patch is interoperable with the current one in the way it worked before. Might also be a bug that gets fixed.

You can see the last line in the patch notes:

  • Viewing replays generated between March 26’s and April 17’s patches has been disabled to prevent client crashes"

I was sure i read all of it, maybe they added it afterwards like the further clarification for the group change. Thanks for that info.

Good to know. They store older client versions to be downloaded for replay use, they are really small (like 17mb) and it would be strange if they stopped providing this feature.

Well…look so they had real reasins to do that.
But in future they must think how players be encouraged to play his loses game to search his mistakes in game with few stict requiment questions:
Like for an axample such questions…

" What was your this your mistake in 10:30 mins?!"

And if players enswer corectly can be allowed to continue play Ranked, if cant complete this strict question requiment…then Ranked will be still locked.
But they must first complete this future “self teach tool” where the game say to us what is our mistakes in our game actions.
I hear that already they think to work on that in future patches.

Awww damn i played some games of my life these days, i cant watch them now. :frowning:

Two QM as Varian taunt and a Hanzo bullseye arrow, and a SL game with Varian taunt. QM Varian game we won from all our keeps down and we didnt have any of their structures, the SL Varian game we won on ToD from 16-36.

The SL game replay I wanted to share, but its impossible now.
