Nova’s triple tap hits genji while he’s X-striking - this is the second time in very different games that I’ve had it happen. Here’s a 15 second clip of it happening.
This isn’t a bug, your Genji landed as soon as the ult was finished, thus becoming vulnerable to attacks, if you used it on time you wouldn’t get hit.

It’s just unfortunate timing, but nothing is broken as the spell hits you at the very end of the invincibility provided by the ability. One common problem you could have experienced in such situation is that 2 individual instances of her ult damage get compounded into a single projectile resulting with an unintended amount of burst within a short time frame.

Oh good to know. I thought that when you use X-Strike it clears the effects that are coming after you… So in my case I thought if I X-Strike ASAP then all 3 shots are immediately cancelled.
