Hard enough to get a Snipe shot in but having it reset to 0 really sucks.
Should just decrease by 1
Compare to Sgt Hammer who doesnt even need to aim…

What? It’s so easy to stack it though, just quit missing?
Nova and Hammer are totally different heroes. Nova is a high burst mage and Hammer is an AA hero.
It’s also pretty easy to stack her snipe and you only really lose stacks if you miss it, you don’t lose if you hit a minion or structures. It’s also really easy to hit someone, especially if you follow CC or just W first to slow them down.

You should add that Hammer is a high burst AA hero. She can slam a stack of anything which is more devastating than Nova hitting 1 hero hard limited to skilled shots.
Hammer gets so much flak on this forum it’s ridiculous.

“The matchmaking is broken. Compare this to Sgt. Hammer who gets perfect matches all the time.”

I like playing Nova because she is challenging and i generally like sniper type games
BUT … a huge portion of her damage comes from Snipe and missing Snipe(resetting 50% damage) is just too much.
Then u got to find the Heroes to snipe again as snipe doesnt come from Minions/structures/whatever
It isnt like those heroes are not moving at all and standing still for u to snipe.
They just move a little or get blown sideways(by a teammate) or teleport then your snipe will miss and reset to 0.
Super lame.
At least just decrease the stack by 1.
As for Hammer…there is no reason to take Nova over Hammer.
Hammer does a much better job in all respects than Nova and Hammer is a lot more tanky/less squishy and doesnt need to freaking aim or have stacks reset.
Just set up and auto fire away with crazy range.

Nova at max stacks gets a lot of extra damage. Nova at 7 gets CDR, which makes her Q have only 2 seconds cooldown. Nova at 10 gets a huge global burst. Nova at 13 gets range and more stacks for hitting heroes, making stacking easier if you happen to miss a Q completely. Nova at 16 can get AoE Q, with deals so much damage (80%) or get armor reduction, which helps her deal even more damage. Nova at 20 has rewind, so you basically have double Q which, doubles your damage.
Hammer can sit and AA, AA, AA, AA, then ult… it’s a lot of damage but in a really slow pace. Nova just dumps all the damage right away.

If they change her Q to only decrease 1 stack if you miss it, then they should also reduce it’s damage by a lot. It’s pretty easy to stack it again. If you are missing too many Qs, then you should practice her more.
IDK What Hammer has to do with this one, like she’s the bane of existence and I hate every single thing in her but is this suppose to be a secret hate thread for Hammer?

How is it hard to get a Snipe in? Hell, you used to lose your stacks with the old Snipe Master talent if you hit anything except a hero!
