Nonexistant xp gain. (No boosts)

It came to me that after 20 hours of attemtping to level butcher from level 1 to 15. I stop only at level 14 with butcher which is simply abnoxious. Due to each wi giving 110k xp and a full party of people granting 17k xp but for leveling a mastered hero from 15 to 16. You to play 15 games that are all wins or maybe more games if you lose a game to cover the 1.2 million xp need to level. I cannot stress how much time i spend 4 days, 6 hours of HOTS and only gaining 3 levels a day.

Losing a game will grant about 30-70k xp depending on your stat, and this xp gain is not sufficient for the amount of time and effort put in these games. Should xp gain be increased or no?

110k xp? I easily get 150-300k most games. The amount you gain depends on your performance as well, so if your numbers overall are middle of the pack for your team, your xp at the end of the match won’t be that high, even if you won.

If you’re playing AI games, skip the early objectives and just focus on taking down as many forts and keeps as you can, the more the merrier so get your team to help. Your EXP for leveling your heroes is pretty much an amalgamation of your stats and shared/personal EXP from the game, so the more EXP you soak/passively generate (which is the kind of EXP forts/keeps give now so time is money once they’re destroyed)/kill for, that directly increases your EXP for leveling up your Butcher. I’ve gotten many hundreds of thousands of EXP per game this way.

If you’re seconds from ending I wouldn’t worry about the other Keeps that are still up as the time to take them down probably may as well be spent getting into the next game.

Because leveling are tied with in game rewards (golds and loot boxes). Other than that, it have absolutely no purpose. Therefore, they have no reason to let you level up every game or two on heroes you’ve already “mastered”.

Also, you’re wrong on the 15-16 take much more effort than previous levels. The exp requirement is cap at 1,200,000 after level 11.

xp earned for a hero is influenced by the exp earned in game. While the grind is slow, some of that is intended to incentivise playing with friends, playing draft modes and buying stim packs to bolster the xp attained.

There are groups that farm ai games to optimize exp per game (amount of experience earned in a game increases the longer a game goes, so its better to have longer games than shorter wins) that do a mix of suiciding and ganking ai to get xp faster and grind out team lvl 30 before winning.

So if your goal is to get specific hero levels, then you may want to look into a stim, group bonuses (friendlist fellow grinders) and/or join the ai channels that optimize the xp gains.
