It’s a known issue across all Blizzard forums. You need to switch to the standard Markdown editor in order to paste copied text. This can be done from the composer or by using the CTRL + M hotkey

Thank you for the info, I just came across this post in my troubleshooting search

On mobile pasting is impossible completely. Links etc. would have to be written letter by letter at the moment.
