Heroes cannot be OP.
Heroes can be overtuned, but in the right hands, any hero can outperform all others.
A hero is only UP or OP if the player base asks for a rework.

No sometimes they do balancing mistakes or experimentations
Kt during alpha
Garrosh DW + maeive at launch
Or cassia buffs after rework are just overpowered
Balancing mistakes and experiments get a pass.
As long as it’s unexpected though.
Nerfed for no reasons…oh wait, the reason was because players are bad, no Dw “Op”
It’s a gaming slang.
55% to 60% win rate = Overtuned
60% win rate and over = Overpowered
HAHHAHAHAHAHAh Kealthas when living bomb could spread infinitely BASELINE.
DeathWing when he first came out.
A Hero is OP when any player of average skill gets a +10-20% higher winrate on THAT hero than every other hero in their pool.
But what about people who main 1 hero… is their hero op ? NO because I’m talking +10-20% on ANYPLAYER with average skill or better.
My old Tassadar was OP.
You couldn’t kill me if I was playing safe and my Force Walls would make you ragequit.
He took 4 nerves and still people at the highest level play him and at other levels he is at a good spot, people still dominate with him. So maybe stop writing nonsence
Killing Abathur from his spawn with the lvl 20 Force Wall was the cherry on top.
That’s why if i see him then its 4v5 game.
Man, I screwed up on this one.
I’m sorry, should I delete?
You can try, but Internet always remembers.
Alright. I will.
Hangs head in shame
Does it mean an easy to play hero is more likely op than a hard to play one? That means heroes like Alarak, Medivh, Vikings or Ilidan never can be op, because they are too hard to play for the average Joe.
A Hero is op, if you don’t need the “right hands” to outperform.
I like your threads! Also even takes people disagree with arent “bad posts”. Its when people just ignore arguments made by others or refuse to let a thing go.
As for this one i think it depends on “op”. Theres no set definition. To me anything above 60% winrate is op while others might say anything above a 55% winrate is op.
Thanks!
It won’t allow me to delete even though I screwed up pretty hard.
No don’t delete. Just leave it up.
Alrighty then.
I missed a lot of points though.
–edit:LOOKS like i was a bit late to the party. whoops. Didn’t mean to pile on.–
Usually when I say this it is meant to be taken jokingly, but…
Your opinion is wrong.
Or you are using a bizarre definition of OP that the majority of people do not use.
Heroes can and have been OP and UP.
Yeah, so basically “if we don’t count when the hero wasn’t balanced like the development team thought, they’re never unbalanced”.
That’s akin to saying “if you don’t count all the games I lost, I have a 100% winrate”.
That being said, a hero of note is Zarya, who was so weak they hotfixed a buff IN TWO DAYS AFTER SHE RELEASED.
