Khaldor has started a new Tournament, the Banshee Cup.
It works similar to the last Meta Madness Tournament but without Pre-Bans. The other rule (a hero can only played once in a series) stays:

The last round of Meta Madness was really popular. And produced some great games.
it is too bad that the pool limiters werent in place during events like HGC. Seeing shamada spam certainly stunted those showcases; it stagnates spectatorship and strategy.
So it is more enjoyable to see hero variety through the persisting events like khaldor’s tournaments.
Well, I find that Meta Madness has a good trade-off between established compositions / strategies and wonky ones. It is really a pleasure to see those in one view.
They are fun to play in aswell. Feels good to bring out the more spicy picks.
Plus people are more likely to let me play Probius : p
I’d love to see the small deviation in the Meta Madness rule set that forces the teams to draft certain heroes into their team composition that are otherwise never or rarely played.
Valeera for example wasn’t played at all in the tournament, not in the qualifiers and not in the playoffs.
Probius was played once, the Butcher at least twice.
The teams would get the requirement to play Valeera, Probius, Li Li or any other seldom played hero at some time in their draft otherwise they would get a minus point for the ranking. Something like that
Limiting/removing heroes as they are used outside of bans allows heroes that are not top tier to shine through and open up creative means of playing the game. A very nice twist on a “dead game’s” roster and lack of significant updates.
If the hero selection was larger it may have been possible to narrow things down to games themselves: One tournament being Warcraft, another Starcraft, the next Diablo, and then Overwatch/blizzard originals.
