how do i mark the time to start watching? Skip to 9 min to see an interesting patent about matchmaking in activison games.

The frist 9 minutes is him ranting on how they are shaming players for not buying a season pass by adding that trianlge warning system symbol beside the players name/banner in CoD black ops 4.

While I dislike the boost symbol (I want to be able to hide them/disable animation)… it isn’t just shaming. Because it also highlights the players who are giving everyone in the game a little extra experience. And showing who is giving that experience can be a positive for the one boosting.

It is not good, and again, I would like if changed.

Now, what they’re doing in Call of Duty… is pure shaming and hilariously stupid.

The patent thing is pretty old stuff the update to it came at the same time it was first revealed back then.

How are the triabgles shaming players? Did he explain it in the first 9 minutes?

yeah. the triangle thing is only for players who did not buy a season pass. So someone posted on reddit about how it shames those people for not spending money above and beyond just buying the game and he made a video about it saying its scuzzy to show who didnt spend extra cash with a warning symbol like they’ve done something wrong

it is basically saying “you cannot play in the new maps you bought (season pass owners) because these people don’t have it”.

Of course… To do that you have to deliberately not match season pass people with each other… and instead include people who lack the season pass.

Or, maybe (probably) I don’t understand how matches are set up in CoD.

I mean, personally I thought M16 red dot, stopping power and martyrdom got pretty boring after the thousandth time.

M4 Carbine, Steady aim, UAV Jammer and claymores.

Ez rush and no stabbing in the back, was pretty fun.

Martydom only works if you die and noobtubes are for those who cant aim

Oh, I didn’t use that. I was a try hard, when the game came out I had this perception that red dots were easy mode. So I only used the mini-Uzi the gun I perceived to have the worst iron sights. Or just pistol only. I miss not being able to make pistol only loadouts.

The M16+red dot and stopping power/martyrdom is the stuff I saw most people using. Kinda like mp90 in waw, got old pretty quick.

I went with steady aim, didnt need to use rightclick pretty much ever indoors and i had an .5s advantage against everyone that way when rushing.

Too bad new cods are just SpaceGenjis shooting random lazer weapons.
