Agree. They should add Velen as ranged Priest. Anduin should be melee with ranged heal and ults.

But Anduin has never been a melee hero. He literally tries doing it once at the Battle for Lordaeron and switches back. He’s only wearing the armor because it’s expected of him. None of what he’s wearing is even practical by Azeroth standards. It’s all ceremonial. He’s a priest. Always has been. Even trained under Velen, the ultimate priest in WoW.

If they were to implement Velen, at least now he would have a kit unique to him. Less Church of the Holy Light, more pure light energy and naaru shenanigans.

His Q heals, his W shoots dmg and heals, his E roots instead of stuns, his second heroic stuns everyone around him…so basically we have now 2 Uther?

Can you show me the trailer/cutscene of him throwing orbs of light into his enemy’s faces? Cause I’ve seen the ones of him cratering people and stabbing tanks to death.

Not saying it doesn’t exist, but swinging the sword seems more accurate to me from what I’ve seen.

He is wearing the helmet, it is just turned invisible. Anduin says that himself, if you listen to his quotes.

Anduin is ranged.
Q has a delay, and doesn’t also heal Anduin baseline
W deals damage when going forward and heals when moving back, thus the heal delay is bigger, but it also has bigger AoE.
His E roots instead of stunning, and it’s a ranged skillshot instead of a melee point-click
His Q has much shorter cooldown
His trait is completely different
His R1 is like an AoE divine shield, that doesn’t protect from CC, and can be interrupted. He is also healing while channeling it.
His R2 is like Ragnaros’ E, it can be cast on an ally, not necessarily himself, and it has 1,5 sec delay.

Those are his baseline kit differences. Then come the talent trees that have nothing in common xP
