I think it’s a really great addition to the game. I often play with friends who aren’t that familiar with builds and don’t want to read talents during a match so they ask me to say what to pick or how to build and it makes it easier. So thank you!
But I couldn’t find an option to name these, which might be a cool change imo.

This is just a visual thing right? Like, it doesn’t auto select the talent when you reach that level.
Just visual, and you can totally ignore it.

What’s the purpose of it though? I can dig the auto-select, but at the same time, you don’t want to lock incase they got counters for said talents. Can anyone else see it so they know what your build style is? It’s an exciting and cool concept nevetheless, and it opens up possibilities of having ingame logs of spell and abilities which could lead on to it’s own versions of data, like HOTSLOG.
How it works, is how the favourites work in draft. It’s highlighted, but you’re not forced to pick it, and you can even switch from one build to another midgame if you want.
So you can build however you want, it just a visual indicator in the match.
However, outside of a match, you can link these ingame to your friends and they can save them, so you can help them at “what to pick” if they’re lazy newfolks.

Can you access your builds while playing a different hero? Like if I’m playing Sonya and my friend needs a Lucio build.

During match, nope. You need to send it before the match starts.

What is interesting is the ability to copy a build from another hero after the game, then paste it and try it yourself.
That way one does not need to remember it or write it down if seeing the hero played that way inspired to try it for oneself.

It’s like you can select favorite heroes in the hero selection or your profile by hearting them. You don’t have to always pick the favorites.
Now when someone asks a build you don’t have to write stuff like 21223211 (talent orders), you just link to it in chat with Alt clicking and the person can adapt it instantly to their favorites.

does a bot pick those fav skills if u happen to disco? that would make very much worth while to set up sets of fav builds. then select fav build during match in case u have a crappy connection.

I can’t test it and since most talent tiers consist of 3 talents, 33% chance that by random the bot chose what I picked so I might should disconnect in multiple games just to be sure it’s not a statistical anomaly.
I think its cool you can copy others builds.
Sometimes i get wrecked by a certain player that plays a hero to perfection and want to try their spec. Now it’s easy!
Even if it is not in now, it should not be that hard to make the AI pick the favourite talent, if present.

It’s coming at the perfect time, too, cause my friend was asking for my Hanzo build and I was too lazy to tell him all the individual talents lol
Im gonna heart orb build even though I rarely use it
I see how to copy the build but how do you share it in chat?
If you clicked copy, it copies an ingame link to your clipboard, and if you paste it in the chat, it becomes that clickable text.
I don’t really see myself using it, but if it’s helpful to other people that’s nice.
Talents really change your safe zones and how you use certain abilities, so they’re still going to have to read and understand the talents though.
