I think it’s a bit too much for deathwing’s nerf. Now his appearance is a bit embarrassing. His hp is so low that he can’t do his job well now. I think that his traits can be strengthened a little bit. For example, dragon’s lre becomes passive. At the last 25% hp, it can be treated by friendly forces, but it can only be restored to 50% hp. And reduce the basic ability cooldowns after he landed. I like hots, I hope he can get better, thinks.
Nah he is still good.
Not sure if he would still be if nerfed further though.
Still really high pop with 55% wr.
He’s a do or don’t pick.
Your teammates do or don’t know how to leave the fire.
But his HP is so low that he can’t stay in the crowd for long.
Balanced heroes can’t dive into the enemy team 1v5 and expect to live. The reason DW could do that before was that he was insanely overpowered.
Disagree, I think he’s one of the tankiest and highest healthpool heroes all thanks to his armor mechanic.
DW does not need anything, it is still very strong in the high leagues, in any case they could attenuate him a little more.
40% armor on top of his health pool, that is something to keep in mind. His EHP is still massive despite the nerfs. The damage required to kill him is massive.
Considering he also has significant self heals and the potential to gain Protected upon breaking of armor plates.
High winrate or not, he feels weak.
The armor is constantly lost while taking damage. He is definitely not OP, but IMO is strong.
He feels weak bc you’re used to him being op. Same thing happened to malthael after rework of tormented souls. People thought they could keep going in 1v5 and survive. When they couldn’t they assumed malthael was bad when in reality hes one of the strongest bruisers.
Yes he is weaker now. But he still is easily in Top 5 of the unfun to play against heroes.
A giant perma unstoppable global dragon that can stall objective capturing for xx seconds without counter play? Like come on Blizzard.
I think World Breaker form needs buffs but Im fine with the nerfs. Destroyer form is a monster if used correctly.
Naah, I’d say he feels weak, because he’s slow and unresponsive. You use Q, you see that enemies move away from it before it even starts, and you can’t cancel it. You need to wait for it to start before you can do that.
I didn’t like playing him even when he was “op”.
Playing him feels like playing against a team of 5 Tracers ![]()
now,DW can’t dive into the enemy team 1v3 and expect to live.
I have to say I am a bit on the fence about this after I made a similar post about this a while ago. I have seem some great Deathwings pull some great numbers stat wise but I felt that they didn’t have as much impact (I was Valla and managed to just beat him on all stats EXCEPT hero damage by 1k).
Though I think these days he is countered quite easily so is pretty much last pick material.
I also don’t want to go back to the days where he was overpowered.
I still play Deathwing very frequently, and he’s still as amazing as ever.
Here’s a secret: Take Gaze upon destruction at 16, and you’ll be rewarded for taking risky plays like landing on 3+ people! Honestly if you land on 3+ and your team in engaged it’s pretty much a GG won fight, it’s insane how the talent isn’t picked often.
Nah. I’d argue that now he feels like any other bruiser who can’t just charge in by himself and expect to live. He can be burst down. Ultimately, the fantasy of being able to roam around the battlefield however you’d like doesn’t quite work in a team game, so they had to bring him in line.
If you play him with the intent to support your team, he’s still incredibly powerful. Focus on using AoE to zone and control where your enemy can move. Worldbreaker form gets a slow and a stun. Destroyer form can be an absolute beast against an enemy front line. But their backline mages will still burst you down. You still have to respect any kind of sustain DPS, and hypermobile still wins, so you have to have your team there to support.
No way! You can hit DW and work him down. You can’t hit the Tracer. I’d face off against a DW any time to avoid having to deal with Tracer hypermobility cancer.
Read again what I said, but try to understand it correctly.
When YOU are Deathwing, it feels like the whole enemy team is composed of Tracers.
In the sense that you can’t really hit them.
