if my team doesnt have a dw its almost guaranteed a loss vs a dw
“almost guaranteed”
Sounds pretty vague. I won all my non-DW games when there was only one of them. (Not much tho, usually I play him and face my doppelganger.)
He seems to be fine, just ppl still don’t really understand how he truly works and what does that mean, how they can punish it or play around it.
I’ve got a better idea.
How about Blizzard just lets us see their statistics so we can see if the high win rate is true, or just the result of a certain site having unreliable information.
Might as well let us see damage tanked, and clutch heals, and all kinds of other data they are certainly keeping track of.
Well he does have a 70% winrate in QM.
I am not for or against DW but with the stats he’s pulling in games, he will get a nerf whether people like it or not.
Only one change needs to happen
Level burning rage talent: Cut the damage in half. Even 50% cut should do it, and it would still be a great talent.
Deathwing requires the most basic of mechanics to beat:
Don’t stand in fire.
I’ve been having a fun time kiting him with Sylvanas. I’ve also seen Tychus’s, Leorics, and Malthael’s F him up good. If anything, I think they just need to make him smaller.
Yeah, it was surprising to see even long after his release, his winrate in all leagues except bronze is through the roof. He is the first hero in a long time to be comfortably over 60% win ratio, even 65+ in some leagues.
If nerfs hit him then those stats were accurate and reflected Blizzard inhouse stats. Let’s see what happens next patch. Multiple nerfs = the stats were probably accurate.
Don’t you already know how new releases go?
OP in the first few weeks to get that sweet sweet cash and then bring him down to the actual stats he has.
I’ve only recently been able to see his non-Bronze win rate at all on heroes profile.
And even now it only shows like 60 games ever played, from plat to masters, while most other heroes have 1k+
Huh? Heroesprofile shows me 1482 Deathwing games with top winrate plat->M?
EDIT - didnt you use Hero Rank filter by accident? It should be Player Rank, no ?
explain more yourself, give more data, info, statistic, and show gameplays with ur toughts to know what are u saying
Weird. I saw around 1400 this week on heroesprofile above plat with 96% popularity (so he is probably banned a ton, otherwise he’d be picked tens of thousands of times). Win rate is massive.
IMO I think he is gonna be the next level of power creep debates.
Btw. I dont remember any new release (at least in D + M, not checking other filters) that would start high and drop before the nerfs.
The let people learn to play against him is pretty meme worthy. Learning how to play is usually more important than learning to play against him, it seems.
Although, Dwing can be problematic case here.
Personally, I love DW. Fighting him and playing him, it’s a big honking bruiser that will punish you if you’re out of position. It’s not going to be an instant thing or you have to be massively out of position, but against him, if you’re losing to him it’s more or less the zuljin effect:
If you’re losing, it’s terrible, if you’re winning, it’s great.
Having this monster to fight and actually use more tactical knowledge than just “Shoot at it until it dies” is an awesome hero to fight. You can’t just brute force deathwing, unless you have massive chunkers. Or Sonya. Sonya can brute force him down.
But most importantly, don’t stand in the fire.
I’ll have to remember it the next time Uther stunlocks me or Johanna/Blaze omegaslow me
I have yet to lose a match when I am on Blaze with an ally Deathwing.
Just sayin’…
My favorite so far was with a Durance of Hate Mephisto, just to make it more stand-in-firey.
Thats because its fine, his abilities got delays is a meme at best with all the CC around.
It’s tough, because while it is true that he isn’t terribly dangerous on his own, if his tank is even somewhat competent, he will get kills. This means that he can be all over the place in terms of effectiveness in QM, but in draft, you can’t ban all the heroes that can enable him, so it usually ends up being easier to just ban him instead.
