She looks like she’s gonna dumpster everyone, man. Like, look at this hero. She’s going to be all over the place, like the Genji+Illidan version of Sonya. That is quite an extreme kit she has. Maybe one person on this forum remembers when Dual Bladers were released in old Maplestory (lol), they were just toooooo much, scaled too well, had too many tools, and of course were P2P, so P2W basically. That part isn’t really an issue in HotS, it’s just the extremeness of her kit that looks very troubling. She just doesn’t seem like she fits. She looks awesome but she also looks like she’s from a completely different game, Diablo at best but some hyper-strong player character from a single-player game
at worst, somewhere where your character is supposed to be able to
do everything and wreck all the mobs and whatnot.
I could be wrong, though. I mean her waveclear is probably garbage, and she might be squishy? Who knows. I trust the playtests they’ve done but my eyes are telling my brain “AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!”
Yeah, I agree. For the waveclear, Carnage(Q) can crush the lined up Minions, Revolving Sweep(E) the Leader Minion to chop up the others, then Reactivate it to kill the Leader Him/Herself.
Her Q doesn’t do much damage to minions. In fact it deals less the further away they are from her initial position as only part of the blade hits them. Her E and trait can only damage heroes, not minions. So there is no swinging around one.
Attach your sword to the first enemy Hero hit, Stunning them for .25 seconds. Once attached, Qhira becomes immune to all effects, swinging around the target for 2.75 seconds, and dealing 109 damage to any enemies between you and the target. Reactivate to send you to the target’s location, knocking them back, dealing 112 damage and Stunning them for .75 seconds.
Cost: 70 Mana
Cooldown: 16 Seconds
It only deals damage to minions when a hero is around. You can’t hook on to one.
We both know people are helllla gonna be playing her lol. All the feigned outrage on youtube is gonna last like a week. Blizz can instantly win over everybody twice over when they release Grom or a Pit Lord or something next, ofc people are gonna bandwagon the “blizz wtf” right now but in peoples’ heart of hearts they’re a little excited about this and excited about who must be coming next
For weaknesses, what I can see, her waveclear isn’t anything special, she also isn’t really all that good at doing camps, and probably sucks at burning down objectives too (like immortals, punishers, whatever) as it seems like most of her damage only works against heroes. Also most of her damage is kind of slow, like basically like Illidan in that she sticks to you and eventually kills you, but apart from her ult, she doesn’t really have much burst so she isn’t going to delete you before you realize what happened.
Her wave clear is okay, it is decent (better than say Imperius), you generally have to hit em when they’re still in a straight line otherwise you have to angle or use her E on a hero that is positioned near the wave so as to damage them during rotation. But the important thing here is that she can solo-lane as she’s tough enough to survive, has tools to escape, and has very strong 1v1 potential to bully out opposing solo-lane.
Her merc capturing is about Siege level she can capture them at about normal speed, she can’t do bruisers (so don’t bother unless assisting). But squishy she is not… And it doesn’t help that she gets 2 tiers of survival talents fairly early at level 4 and 7 (which are all healing BTW) that only compliment her already high health pool coupled with 2 forms of engage / disengage. Meaning even if they eventually nerf her HP pool and weaken her survival talents (the armor in particular) she’ll still be beefier than most heroes having access to early game survival alongside above average HP pool and baseline escape options.
She’s a lot like Maiev in that the less mobile heroes are the one who really get punished hard, since it is difficult to escape with her E & D combos and following that the damage over time can secure kills if the healer doesn’t attend to you soon. More mobile heroes do stand a better chance since they better avoid her skill shot, but good players will simply focus on ganks anyways, but less mobile heroes are definitely in for a rough time.
Yeah well the same thing with Orphea and look at what happened with the queue times there
she’s melee and her mobility is tied into long-cooldown skillshots (sweep is 16 seconds, hook is 25), so i’m guessing if you can kite her, she’ll probably have a bad time. i can imagine someone like tracer being a pain in the butt for her
I’m not sure. Her Q and E seem too fast to dodge in reaction. You’ll have to anticipate it or rather, guess it. But if you have 2- 3 charges of blink. You CAN drag her into your team.
Eh, she doesn’t have that great of sustain. Her damage is good but only if you let her sit there and whack you. Her mobility is pretty wild but without good sustain options or strong CC she’s not too much of an issue.
Her sweep will get her into bad situations a lot. The Q is strong but again she needs to be up in your face to AA. She needs a lot of CC to pin down targets to maximize her damage. The second she starts a sweep look to stun her. She plays just like Sonya.
She doesn’t have the best wave clear or camp clear. She will wreak havoc if no one prioritizes her in team fights tho. She could be really strong in the solo lane but I’m not too convinced with her current level of sustain.
I’m going to wait until she goes live before making any judgments. It all depends on how she’s played. Too aggressive in team fights might be bad for her. Being in the solo lane might depend on who she’s up against. With her mobility I think she’ll function as a roaming gank specialist.
People are upset with who the character is, not how she plays. I’m pissed this kit got tacked onto some nobody, but I’m definitely still going to try it out regardless of the owner.
