A point and click 3 sec. stun.On a hero that is suppose to be hard to play… Shouldn’t this ulti be at least a skill shot.You can’t do anything about in QM.
Easy to use, easy to counter. Keeping a close eye on murky’s puffer fish to engage is not that hard to counter.
You can easily do something about it in QM: Squish the Murky.
If you and your team happen to have literally no teamwork, not even incidental teamwork, then you are going to get stomped regardless.
If you’re running solo and get ganked, that’s because you are out of position.
If you happen to be at the rank where nobody has any teamwork, then be glad there isn’t follow up. Murky can’t really squish most heroes on his own.
Octo is really on use to counter high mobilty squishys like tracer, genji and illidin
Murky is like the Red baloons from the Bloons Tower Defense Series, easy to blow up.
Like the dude is literally standing there while using his ultimate, just focus him quickly and his combo is entirely gone.

It already has a massive weakness. You are completely left open while it is channelled. Outside of 1v1 the result usually is a dead Murky.
Op I assume you like to play these powercreep mobility overwatch heroes but point and click abilities have to exist to enable counterplay.

You gotta be close to stun someone with uther, Octo has a longer range like murky lunges himself fast.

Everyone loves point-and-click CC and deletion abilities. Like the most wonderful feeling is playing a high-mobility hero and then being removed from the game by Pyroblast, Triple Tap, Hunt, Uther Hammer, Octograb, Raynor right-clicking you, or a Butcher Charge into Auto-Q-Auto.
Mobility is strong against people who don’t have tools to deal with it, but the tradeoff of mobility is having for health.
Quite often I see Murky go after a high value target, such as the damage dealers who would be able to kill him. The best counterplay is to go after the Pufferfish rather than Murky, as it is far easier to kill in time.
And even if he does die, that’s never a big loss for him, as he gives a fraction of the normal exp and will just respawn in 8 seconds.
Octo-Grab is actually ridiculously strong. So is March of the Murlocs. In fact, I’d rate them both among the top 20 ults in the entire game.
The reason Murky is balanced despite having 2 of the strongest ults in the game is because he has almost no teamfight presence outside of his ult. Most of his teamfighting capability is loaded into his ults, since his basic abilities are often situational and his low health makes it hard to last long enough to get to those situations. Without his ults, he is almost exclusively a lane-shover.
That deals almost no damage, with a 50 second cooldown.
That requires you skipping one of the most powerful zoning/teamfighting ultimates in the game.

Like seriously, March of the Murloc punishes enemy teams that do sit in it, massively.
Typically it either forces smart teams to retreat, or engage from a different angle, or just lets you (as Murky) or your team kill them all.
It’s got a longer cooldown, but it is insanely powerful.
Hence taking Octograb is a massive opportunity loss, for a relatively limited gain.
The only saving grace is that you can afford to “waste” the ability–while MotM requires you to be very sparing due to it’s cooldown.
Well, you have to know when to cast octo-grab where it won’t kill you.
Or where the temporary stun is worth the death you’re sure to get.
If it got buffed so it did not end when Murky died, I would happily accept it being a skill shot.
But that would make it go from a “good for picking off squishy people who are walking around solo” to an ability that “can be useful sometimes in teamfights”.
And I don’t think that Murky needs another teamfight ultimate.

If you have an ally they can kill pufferfish, which makes octo-grab deal a whopping 3 damage.
Or they can kill the Murky… and stop the stun.
You right it is too easy but it needs to be as others have said its there to counter hyper mobility. We’ve already lost mind control so please don’t lose this as well.
In the mean time stay close to allies so they can cleanse or shield you, take talents that much you stronger if you get stunned, and kill the puffer fish (not murky)

More time stunned doesn’t mean better, Murky is vulnerable all that time, just like you.
I replied because you asked a question. I will not tell you what you could do because other’s will say it, and they all will be saying the same couple of things.
Alliance players like to help and feel useful. It’s like their mission, you know? That way they feel they are doing something for the community and their game.
Not implying they don’t.

Have to admit that March is really broken on Cursed Hollow simply because of how tight the places are and in a heated battle it can be a death sentence end game.
