Murky march of murlock heroic sucks

I know that the game is pretty much in maintence mode and all but I have so many hours as murky and I have only use this heroic ability a couple times. its so useless compare to octograb and I would like to see the ability change or at least reduce the cool down a little bit from 110 sec. I am pretty much a murky one trick because he is so fun but that ability is useless. Please change it or reworked the ability but do not touch on anything else please he is so fun but I would like to use another heroic.

Not at all, but its you, who dont know how to use it. This heroic can push and from the right angle it can turn teamfights alone.

If you play murky how many times have you use that ability? the only use destroy tower and stop enemy from moving from one direction, but octograb can pretty much help you kill any hero

Depends on the map and enemy comps quite often. It’s good in on point fights like Sky Temple, because it secures that you get the point and the shots to enemy’s buildings for example. None want to stay in Murky’s march for too long, otherwise they are dead.

But we can agree that Octograb is easier to use and that’s why it feels generelly more impactful than March of the Murlocs, but it doesn’t mean the heroic is bad, just harder to use. One of the most satisfied March of Murlocs I got on Garden of Terror, where i used it from the bush on the objective and got many players in it, this heroic decided the fight alone (like Jaina’s Ring of Frost).

one heroic might get a hero kill (with ally assistance and a lack of cleanse)
while the other can zone out enemy heroes, punish a dive, and/or help destroy structures.

Granted, a key part of the glamour of March is getting that lvl 20 upgrade, but the merit of someone only coming in to say something is ‘useless’ and then describe how they’re a ‘one-trick’ doesn’t mean they have demonstrated the ability to be as they claim, but rather, they’re not as good as adapting different aspects of that hero because they tend to play then in ‘one way’ to suit the trick :stuck_out_tongue:

As others have said, March is a potent team fight ability and it’s strong particularly on zone control maps.

I wouldn’t mind having some other ability reduce the CD slightly, but then the ULT would probably have to be reduced in power.

Its not a bad heroic its just octograb is such a ridiculously powerful heroic. March of the murlocs in 5v5s over a control point is really strong. If murky uses that heroic at the right time I will not like it as it means either the team gets possibly wiped or we must give up the point.

Theyre both good heroics; each have their own applications

Octograb is good for ganking and trying to get an early lead. March is better for literally everything else.

Try watching some streamers play Murky if you are confused how it is supposed to work. March is for flanking during team fights.

I don’t think either one is bad or preferable. I sure as hell wont take Octo if they have a Cleanse for one. I’m trading my 50s heroic for their level 7 basic ability. Very bad trade.

March is also nice for zoning objectives that require point control, I love to launch the murlocs on the Volskaya control point for example. The enemy will either get hit or be forced to retreat.

If the enemy has no Cleanse and some very slippery heroes like Genji or Zeratul, I do love taking Octo-grab. It often secures a kill on those heroes.

All of those have their uses, depending also on how reliable is your tem - once had good chromie casting sands and combined with march of urlock we had mega kill on Volskaya, but when I have no friends with reliable CC and DMG I prefer octograb to take out healer.

March and Octo are almost 50/50 for me depending on enemy comp and map.

If it’s a map with area objectives March is usually my go to. Hypermobile enemies get the Octo-grab, probably. By level 10 I know the feel of the match and pick the appropriate ult.

its strong if you can catch them towards the starting point of the march (where the murlocs spawn) i believe it does more damage that way
(like maybe there can only be so many murlocs up at a time so if they are just running then you’re losing damage)
