Move Fenix's "W" to "D" & Replace "W" With A Shield-Recharge

Was just playing as Fenix & I realized he doesn’t really have a “W” ability, as switching between Basic Attack modes seems more like a “D” function than an actual ability that might, say, cost Mana? I was thinking an ability that activates Fenix’s shield-recharge would be appropriate, something like “Capacitor Override”

It could cost little Mana, like 25 or something, but then have a longer Cooldown than his other Basic Abilities, much like Stitches’ “Devour” or Jim Raynor’s “Adrenaline Rush”

Talents could include:

  • Each Enemy Hero hit by “Plasma Cutter” reduces the Cooldown of “Capacitor Override” by 0.5 seconds.
  • Quest: Every 10 Regen Globes collected increases the recharge rate of “Capacitor Override”
  • While “Capacitor Override” is active, increase your Health Regeneration.
= The 2nd & 3rd Talents would be offered at the same Level to prevent a lack of synergy. Otherwise, players don’t get the Health Regen benefit if their shield recharges faster.

Not gonna be able to play Fenix again until he’s an actually completed Hero…plz repair!

Cheers,
Babaji

Lucio’s W works exactly the same, its just there to empower his E, I do not see the issue with swappable ability buttons.

However, you can make a temporary solution using hotkey settings, make a hotkey groud called “fenix” and change controls to fit what you specified and when playing Fenix swap to that hotkey group.

Yeah, but Lucio’s ability to heal an aura of heroes, potentially dealing dmg while doing so, or increasing the move-speed an aura of heroes, potentially slowing down enemies in the process, is a much more different thing than Fenix switching from dealing one type of damage to another, without much shift to functionality. I get that with certain Talents they can become more drastically effective in their own right, but Lucio’s Crossfade also costs Mana to use (though I get that Fenix doesn’t use mana), unlike Push Off, which is much more circumstantial, so I understand why Push Off would be on “D” instead of an ability, especially since it can actually deal damage. All I’m saying is that it feels underwhelming to have certain heroes with a bunch of interplay in their build, while a guy like Fenix just moves around & shoots without much dynamic to his abilities.

That’s All
