Dear players,
Today, I would like to discuss the necessity of improving Morales Medevac as a character in Heroes of the Storm. While he is an invaluable healer, his current mechanics and balance leave much to be desired.
-
Limited Mobility : In the current gameplay environment, Medevac lacks the ability to quickly move around the map. This makes him vulnerable to attacks and hinders his ability to save allies in critical situations.
-
Weak Self-Defense Abilities : His lack of self-protection in the face of aggressive play from other characters renders him an easy target. Enhancing his survivability mechanics or adding defensive abilities could significantly improve his effectiveness.
-
Lack of Unique Specialization : Compared to other healers, Medevac does not offer unique tactical opportunities, which diminishes his appeal in team fights. More original skills or enhancements to existing ones could make him more sought-after.
-
Team Dependency : Medevac heavily relies on team actions, which can lead to a decrease in his utility. I propose considering improvements to his individual skills and abilities.
In conclusion, Morales Medevac needs adjustments to become more competitive. Enhancements to his mobility, defensive capabilities, unique abilities, and overall flexibility will make him a more interesting and useful character in the game.
Let’s discuss this together and try to promote these ideas within the community!
Best regards, EpicMouse

In unorganized chaotic games (for example QM or SL with no good auto-attackers to Stim Drone), it’s a lifesaver. It even allows her to dodge 100% certain death from some abilities like Pyroblast or Consume Souls. It also disjoints Chromie’s Temporal Loop.
If the enemy has little to no stuns, it’s also a very reliable escape from being suddenly focused or ganked. Reposition about 10 squares back with Medivac, fly, get back in the fight and start healing from the back line within 3 seconds.
Not saying it’s the greatest heroic ability in the game, but it can have its occassional uses (besides backdooring enemy keeps and core, which is a cheese strat almost as old as HotS itself).
If it needs any buffs, I’d like it to be a bit more durable from focus fire. Maybe make it 20-30% harder to destroy. As you know, the enemy can destroy the Medivac before the 2 second liftoff, and it’s extremely easy to do so with 3-4 players (and almost instant if 5 players focus it).

I basically disagree with all your points. Medivac is fine if you think of it more as a shield/reposition than ferrying people around. In that sense, it is a self defense ability that offers great tactical opportunities if you’re being focused. And because I know I have that fallback, I’m much more aggressive in my positioning which helps with healing and grenades. This use also doesn’t require any response from your allies (though sometimes they enter your medivac when they shouldn’t lol).
I mean to say that Medivac doesn’t provide mobility is honestly baffling. Reinforcements is also wonderful…if your allies use it. But because its cooldown is so incredibly short, even if they don’t, it’ll be back up soon enough.
This is not true, it just isn’t used in unique tactical ways by most Morales players.
Medivac is a fine ult that can be very powerful when played right, and it even has some niche abuse potential. Its only challenges are A.) Morales using it properly (or at all) and B.) Getting the team to actually click it.
