could of really used something on mathael lvl 20 useless talents picks at lvl 20, no reason for final curtain if you pick tormented souls, no reason for tormented souls when you have last rites, pretty much in general last rites is always the best pick and has been blizzard forever even with the new not so good buff tormented souls got.
last rites and no one can escape death are basically the best.
final curtain needs a pretty darn good buff to compete? malthael already has way to much for reapplying his trait and all his lvl 20 is another reapply trait for a lvl 20 cmon this hero is so BORING for a lvl 20 pick final curtain is a joke period.
i was honestly hoping for a few new talent changes since he has way to much of the same.
old malthael was way more fun.
Final Curtain gives poke and zoning. Also has a lower cd than TS (and can be talented to be even lower with Throwing Shade).
More often than not, LR just kills the already dead. While TS gives mobility and makes marking quicker and easier, while also not requiring you to change AA target, so you don’t lose dps on your key target.
Usually teams have 2 dps, so you don’t really need LR’s “burst”.
If you mean the lvl 20s, they didn’t get buffs in the latest patch (where Malth got changes).
If you picked LR, obviously its upgrade is a good pick, and an insta respawn at lvl 20 will always be highly preferred.
But the other two are also good and I often use them.

final curtain is a great talent, especially on certain maps 
I always find myself surprised by what Malthael can pull off well outside of Last Rites, even though I go on defense mode for the execute even so.
I think people bag on ults a lot, but like, “high payout, high risk” vs “lower payout, lower risk” seems a really solid dynamic on heroes like Malth who basically exist for the purpose of killing. Doesn’t have more than a slow to tag the occasional runner.

I do think that final curtain was way more legit before Malthael’s % dmg nerfs. It feels a bit underwhelming compared to the other options atm.
It lead to more dmg, so you’re not wrong, but its main functions to me never changed.
Agreed, but don’t you think it would be better suited as a level 16 talent? I’d even go as far as moving it to level 13. Its a really fun talent, it’s criminal that you only get to use it only at the end of the game.
Edit: actually 13 makes no sense, that’s his defensive tier.
