You factor out the potato games he is in or bad setups and he probably has a mid 60s win rate.
The only other toon who comes close is Azmo at 65% pick rate and 53% winrate. He is still a bit highly tweaked even at a lot lower pick/win rate.
And to all of you whiteknights saying “l2play” even Toptenhammer has Mal sitting in their “Too broken” list of S+ tier.
I am no expert on the game, but I think Mals tool set is just too good with so much CC and setup potential. I dont think he will be balanced without becoming F tier. Its kind of a trend these days w/ hots.
Regardless, he is awful to play against because his CC is so oppressive and over powered for a MOBA to the point I do not want to play hots.

Also coming off a 3 day forum ban because I paraphrased what someone said by using an astrick for a curse word in a post complaining about the development of hots. Its like Blizzard couldnt kill their games faster if they were trying to.

IMO, the most annoying thing about Mal’ganis is playing against him as Melee. /sleep
I don’t know if Mal is OP, but I’d probably agree that he is still overtuned, along with Azmo.

So if he does need adjustments, in the interim you can play Tychus.
He is broken. Not just OP. Broken.

What exactly is broken about him?
He has no weaknesses.
He has sustain. He is super tanky. He has mobility. He has multiple sources of CC. He puts out good damage. He has chase. He has escape.
Literally the only tool they did not give him is a ranged ability.
He is good in any comp or setup and excels.
All of that AND he has a skill floor sitting in the basement.

Well, his greatest weakness is actually Healing Reduction.
Everything else you mention is just because he’s overtuned. His damage could probably go down a bit, along with his tankiness. Force him to rely on (W) Armor more.
The only thing I wish I could see nerfed is his Sleep, but I’m incredibly biased as a Melee-player.

I was expecting some minor nerfs on a 1-2 of his more “winning” talents. Along with maybe a small nerf on his bat Swarm ult, and small buff for his other ult.
He feels very frustrating to play against, for me.
It’s obviously better in draft modes, where you can build a team which is better against him, but even there he is very strong.

You cant build against him. Thats why he has an 85% pick rate.
When you can counter pick a hero, their pick rate goes way down.
10-20% pick rate and 55%+ win rate is healthy. That means there is a counter. 85% pick rate and 56% win rate is just gross.

Cant have it both ways. Either he excels in any comp and therefore his winrate is correct (and not that high currently), or he doesnt which makes him counterable.
Malganis is only slightly overtuned right now. Really nothing to make a big fuss about.

you can build against him.
The issue is that it is soft-counters, heroes that tend to be better versus Mal’Ganis.
There are no hard counters.
And those soft counters are very soft counters.

Diablo is slightly overtuned.
Malganis in TL is sitting at almost 90% banrate and 58% win rate for the times he doesnt get banned. And thats in Plat - Masters.

Besides using buzzwords like a real champ, you also don’t know that popularity isn’t pick rate, while there are also heroes with actually higher pick rates and higher win rates than Mal.
Good job on showing to everyone that your ignorance is layered, OP!
Also, ban rates are meaningless; that’s just sheep doing sheep things and banning Mal because the mob mentality told them so.

Flip combo into taunt into seven sided and a little bit of damage from a dps with half a brain and bam he’s gone enjoy your 5v4.
To OP, I can’t believe you went and made yet another thread on Mal’ganis, if you put this much effort into playing the game you might have figured out there are plenty of things to play into him that make him completely useless.
PS OP, please learn what popularity means, it doesnt mean pick rate.

Write Tentonhammer and let them know they need to learn to play as well since Malg has been sitting in S+ broken tier since he came out.
Yeah you can’t pick a hero if they are insta banned because everyone knows they are broken. (taps side temple)
Or that people don’t know how to play against him because they constantly ban him.
