This hero is absolutely not for a 1vs1. I can play in a lane but not to try to kill. I’m usually roaming, farming experience and waiting to fight only if there is tf.
I don’t understand why she has nothing in her kit of talents to make her more viable to play solo.
Sometimes I have the feeling she can be very strong, but the problem is that not in every game are all together in the team fights. Sometimes you have to control a point, where you have no help and she is useless.
Even in those games where I have the luck that the enemy play together, is difficult to do it right. Because anyone that knows to play, will always kite and separate when they see it coming.
I like Maiev, but is a really strange hero and in my opinion need some rework to be good as solo or in a Team. Also she needs more sustain, she has no shield, no self heal, nothing at all.

heroes aren’t balanced to “solo”. never have been, never will be. if your hero isn’t good at “solo laning”, then play the lane conservatively, staying near your towers and gathering exp globes. this initial laning phase is pretty insignificant compared to the rest of the game.
and to answer your overall question, she’s quite strong. very popular amongst the pro players, particularly for her great ultimate abilities and high hero damage capabilities.
This is the main reason I’m hesitant on playing MyEve, even if I want to like the hero.
However, I have seen some Maievs that can win some duels. They do some shenanegans with using E before engaging, using W on you and then teleporting with E right away to deal their W damage and to put you out of position. But yeah, I would’ve liked her a lot better if she was more useful in general and not only in TFs.
Well, her trait alone lets her duel into just about any heavy burst. The better you are with its use, the stronger Maiev can be. She’s tough to play and tougher to master, though. I think that’s just fine, personally, though others may disagree.
She’s certainly not a duelist like Raynor, where you can effectively faceplant the keyboard and achieve modest results.

She was designed to be a teamfighter hero. That’s why she isn’t designed for 1v1’ing.

Well if you want 1v1 try Artanis or Imperius or Sonya - those are pretty decent 1v1

If you duel you need to go all in and hope you suprise the enemy. You win vs most mages and assassins
Your lvl 4 and 7 talents also make a big impact if your gonna win this
She has good waveclear but dont draft her in the solo lane

Strong.
But she’s not designed for sololaning or 1v1ing.
Both - depends from hands. All heroes are like that, but some are more difficult. Although there is still a human factor. For some, a particular difficult hero can be very simple.

Please for the love of god she doesn’t need buffs, her kit design is on the edge of OP.
Give her to HGC pros, decent team behind, and she will still wreck without talents, just with ult. Thats how stupid her base kit is.

I say she’s weak. On the tier list she isn’t s tier nor a tier. Could be b tier but I’m biased against her as I never see her. Probably mid-low b tier at best, high c tier if lowballing her power

Maiev is too weaked heroes I play her once purchase boost. I recently purchase Valeera next with Jaina. Li-Ming, D.Va & Lt. Morales enter level 10 with it’s own loot chests so both Cassia & Alarak continue to reached it’s own loot chests for these heroes.
She is strong now since that skin came out.
She’s strong. I like her. When it comes to 1v1 it depends who you are fighting against she can still win out.
Her strength is as you say in team fights. Mephisto is abysmal solo yet he still receives nerfs and that is because he rocks in team fights.
