It feels like they are dumbing him down by making his aggressive play style to easy to pull off. Before hand if you wanted to get behind someone and boop them into your team you had to position yourself in a potentially risky situation by manually running over there.
And now itās just a push of a button when youāre on a wall.
I understand that the devs thought that Lucio was 2fast4noobs and a very great noob stomping hero in good coordination and he might of had to much power by himself so that is why they made him slower but to compensate they gave him this burst speed on a CD.
Another reason why i hate this trait is that it doesnāt go well with how i have always moved Lucio, which is i hold down right click to move instead of spamming it. And if youāre off a wall for a nano second you canāt use your trait anymore which makes it even more unbearable for how i use hold down to move.
I finally understand why rexxar players hated the change that came with how they controlled misha a long time ago.
This doesnāt really involve the trait but to much of the rework has put an emphasize for lucio to be on a wall/have wallride speed bonus active and i donāt like that.
when you are you gonna ask me your burning questions that i know you have been saving up.
This is gonna sound weird but the analogy makes sense if you think about it.
Why do people get married? They found their significant other in the world and only want to be with them for the rest of their life. Itās the same thing for maining heroes. Tassadar, Lucio and Nova soonā¢ all gave me everything i wanted in a hero so i love to play them almost nonstop except lucio now
so you prefer to have no āultā just for that? replacing an ult for ācleanseā ? if your team position that horribly to the point of being focused hard by the opponents thatās completely not your fault as far as i know. shouldnāt choose to not have an ult just cause of a teammate playing badly because youāll need sound barrier mostly high five only saves 1 person every idk 15sec? 30? however thatās why i said sound barrier is much better i prefer to protect my whole team on protecting the most useless player in the team.
High five is a 15 second cooldown for EACH ally on your team. Thatās a cleanse and small burst heal per target every 15 seconds. It allows Lucio to reposition himself quickly in fights and make a quick escape when he needs to. Itās also a death sentence tor the enemy team at lvl 20. But I play my Lucio aggressively.
I didnāt realize a Russian Weightlifter or whatever Zarya is exactly would listen to the music produced by the capitalistic pigs.
Or is it socialistic pigsāstill not communistic (not that Zarya was raised in a communist community iirc (I could be wrong) but gotta play up those kinda sorts memes) enough for the motherland!
i have no idea what I mean to say with the words I just wrote
Thatās why I take smooth moves at 1. The self heal is just a bonus. Itās the mana return thatās key. Of course his wall mechanic is janky at best in hots, but once you get used to it, you hardly ever need to back.
My standard build is: Smooth Moves > Supersonic > Reverse Amp > High Five > Heavy Casters > Up the Frequency > Mixing Fire.
All of these talents are affected by basic attacks. At 1 they heal you while wall riding. At 4 you decrease the cooldown on your trait by doing what youāre already doing. Amp it up for the damage and slow on enemies. High Five for quick positioning and the heal (which has in fact saved many of my teammates on the brink of death). Heavy Casters so your frequently used trait is now a stun. Completely stopping movement and the ability to AA or use abilities is much more valuable than the baseline slow. Up the Frequency increases his AA range by 2.2 while wall riding, which makes it even easier to hit targets to proc Smooth Moves, giving you the mana you need to keep up with the frequent amps youāll be casting. Mixing Fire allows you to chase down targets on the brink of death, as well as deny 50% healing during the late game. It also increases amp it upās duration, which means more healing for your team, and more damage on the enemy.
Itās a highly engaging and rewarding playstyle that I rarely see many people go for.
