The new queue system is great. It has greatly improved queue times and it feels like a revitalized game just by that alone.
However, can we make EVERY map available in ranked mode? If Towers of Doom, a brawl map that shouldn’t ever have been in ranked mode to begin with can be in ranked, why not all the others? I’m talking even Haunted Mines. Give us it all back please!

Is this a satire post? TOD is one of the most balanced maps in Hots with multiple valid strategies, “brawling”, being one of the less effective methods due to the unique mechanics of towers that can be captured/sappers that can directly hit the core/a protected core/ and objectives that are often split.

It’s the only map where you cannot directly attack core. Not a MOBA map. That dynamic ruins opportunity for clutch plays for the solo queue people. The dynamic of that map takes away more individual potential.
ToD is the most balanced map I’ve seen in any MoBA. It has the least snowball potential and favors the most skilled team more than any other map.
The game as a whole is not built around solo carry. (All xp is shared) that’s not specific to this map. But you often have to split for the obj. And if you’re 1 on 1 and outplay your opponent, you get core damage. No other map allows this.
You can sneak an obj or you can destroy a tower if your team is losing obj to minimize core damage taken. There’s plenty you can achieve by yourself. I’ve often successfully defended a tower 1 vs 3, because that extra shot gave us the win and my team didn’t realize it.
Something being different doesn’t mean it’s worse. Cars were different from horses.

On the contrary. If you have exceptional solo skill, you can end the game yourself if a bad opponent is distracted or too far away during the shrines. Say you have two enemy keeps captured and can do 6 core shots each.
You are playing on Lost Vikings. In theory you can chuck down almost half (18) of their full 40 core health in 8 seconds if they aren’t paying attention to the objective or the timer (and people especially in QM or lower ranks of Storm League rarely do).
A player who is always on time for objectives in ToD has a very large win rate edge over the random casual who doesn’t even register an objective is going on. It’s one of those objectives in HotS which leads to automatic loss if you ignore it too many times in a row.
If there is a keep parity between both teams (both have 3 keeps up), each shrine you channel makes you personally win 10% of the game (by doing 4 damage to their core) for your team. Sneaking in sappers alone through a defeated keep also makes you do permanent unrepairable damage to their core all thanks to your personal effort.
