Did the devs make mistakes the last 2 years? Yes
Did they learn and grow from the mistakes and the resulting decline in MAU? lol no they did not.
I had a little bit of hope that maybe since dabiri was gone they could turn things around. Once again HoTS team disappoints.
Honestly, I’m still in awe that Dabiri didn’t fix the problems.
The writing was on the wall he was leaving as far back as early as July. When you look back at the turmoil we had back then.
Also, the AMA doesn’t look bad reading over it — it just feels like we’re not getting the answers we probably wanted/needed.

I guess some people are jaded as Blizz will often tell or promise us great things in an AMA, but not deliver. But as you say, it’s hardly a disaster.

I feel like doomsaying for 2 years probably means you’re not right. Everything dies eventually but predicting it will happen only really matters if you are actually close to the mark. It’s like predicting the imminent death of a teenager for 70 years.
Listen, I’ve been predicting the heat death of the sun for several millennia now. Pretty soon, the sun will die out and who will be laughing then? Just you wait.

Just read through it and the answers seemed pretty decent. Compared to how Blizzard AMA’s usually go this one was actually pretty good.
Chen getting Stagger alone makes it a great AMA.
When you put tens of millions into a pro scene and marketing budget for a f2p game model and the game dies in 2 years it’s a failure by any metric.

Doomsayers gotta doomsay man.
Anything other than ‘Yes, we can and will give you everything you want, right now!’ can qualify as a disaster if you want to see things fail bad enough.
