LoL got another Hero - and the feedback is quite negative

I rarely see people mention HoN these days, it seems like a distant memory I was even a part of it. But yeah HoN was a Dota clone that chose to adapt incredibly slowly due to poor management, and as a result became obsolete.

People around here say Hots is “dead” and some strangely want that to happen just for that ha ha I told you so moment. Far from it lad. Those who were in HoN have seen an empire fall before their eyes. And dammit I’m trying to meme, I forgot where I was going with this.

Riot is obviously running out of ideas so they decided release new champs with the very similar kits to existing champs or ultra overcomplicated champs with ability descriptions longer than three-volume encyclopedia (Aphelios and Samira).

On the other hand, Lol players made it clear that they don’t want crazy champs design like we have. Yummi, basically LoL’s version of Abathur was enormously hated on release too…

As former HoN player I know what you mean, Trips. HoN and Hots were my main mobas. HoN couldn’t get popular, because it has one thing that Hots has: a great company behind it. If Blizzard would own HoN it would be one of the main contender in the moba area. It was right on time and was great, but just from a small game company; their marketing was awful but the gameplay was great compared to dota 2 and lol, at least for me.

Edit:

BTW I still miss the HoN announcer like “british announcer” or “Duke Nukem”, I payed money for that awesome announcer. :joy:

Ahh I can almost hear the nostalgic team chat…
“buy wards noob.
BUY WARDS.
all your fault they take kongor”

playing support was like taking care of 3 toddlers and a neglectful husband in a rundown trailer.

So true. :joy: And still there was one thing that I kinda I am still missing that risky move that called “Doombringer”. It was one of the fun items in the game and the reactions from it were glorious. The panic in some faces (mine included), when you saw the big sword in a stash from someone.

Lol and it almost always gets dropped somehow just before the core is dead and the chat spams with pings and “dd!!!” and enemy team wins with it.

Who says I don’t play lol? I come to this game and forum ocassionaly to see if something improves it. Yet to find much.

And apex legends became an incredibly popular and dominant game after fortnite made it’s own first move advantage. How you start the race is mostly irrelevant to how you finish it.

LOL
Biggest fanboy joke I have read here. Greetings from Gazlowe and Deathwing just to name two.

I’ve never thought of being a fanboy for HotS
I love Mass Effect but HotS is just a game to play when I have time.

I can accept something like Deathwing coming out as overtuned, because he’s very creative. There’s nothing else like him in another MOBA, and they overestimated how impactful his trait’s downside was. A friendly reminder that Mei has been one of the most balanced heroes Blizzard ever released.

Compare that to Riot, which releases cookie-cutter heroes that do the same things as old ones plus ten more things, and does this constantly. They’re not even trying. At least this dev team cares, even if corporate doesn’t.

HOTS Devs release broken stuff, rework broken stuff (what Riot doesn’t do btw.) and then don’t care for month. Well that’s even worse.

Also you have to know LoL in order to understand the release. ADC is the most frustrating and useless role to play as since month. Concepts like Samira try to change the situation even though it’s currently not on point.

If the HOTS Devs managed to have more than 4 viable maintanks and balanced Gazlowe after 5 years development we can talk.

No, instead they rework perfectly fine champions into complete new ones with their remakes because reasons. (And also broken or OP/UP on release)

Remove maps which had a dedicated fanbase for it instead of keeping them up to date.

And enforce a meta stagnation that has been present since season 1. With any champion that dares to break it getting a nerf hammer or the famous ‘rework’.

And don’t get me started on their retcons.

Bottem line, riot fails a lot too and they got the bigger team even.

E: oh and ofc the rune revamp. God forbid creativity. And that revamp release had a lot of busted crap in it too that took a while to fix.
E2: people misreading so made it more clear this is a rant vs riot

Devs might say she’s balanced but I’ll continue to say she is #2 best tank in the game

The playerbase themselves have only to blame. It seems I’m one of the few players that say “boo reworks” in reworks threads and I’m booed in return for not wanting to fix a “broken” hero

An exception is the rework Alex thread on the forum but for the most part players want reworks for heroes😭 when new heroes>reworks

and I’m booed in return for not wanting to fix a “broken” hero

Which heroes are broken at the moment? I don’t think many are. Nova and Junkrat could use some changes, maybe even reworks, their winrate is in the gutter.

Gazlowe could use some nerfs, but he can just be banned meanwhile.

No Hero is broken at the Moment. I can’t find any Data that shows winrates beyond the 60%.

Do you want any hero reworks? Genji? Nova? Anything?

People are against redundant heroes but would pay cash for skins :joy:
