The creative part on it is perfect though, its something i would never expect on a medivh, while it can still work fine, and even get themed abilities with it.
(although i would suspect the portal to remain unchanged, as changing the appearance of that might hinder in balance)
Arcane rift can be a simple water splashing wave. Bubble says enough. Polymorph turns them into an inflatable water toy (i would say a dolphin as that can sound wise work fine). And LLS can be a bigger wave of water on which you can surf, while the stasis shows some bubbles as if people are submerged.
How would it appear while flying though? (edit: oh ofcourse, how could i forget… A seagull!)

I would very much like this, especially with the visuals that Alias mentions as being possible…
Now, i should probably play one more game to get Medivh to 15… 
the art is good, but…for games you need to do more armors and guns/weapons it’s attractive for the audience

So his raven form would be a seagull ?
I can see Karabars would have fun picking on Aba in seagull form. yelling like a seagull down on him and pick on him like a french fries

the portal should be a lifesaver, even if they have to make it look a little bit different so the clickbox remains the same, it would fit it too well, his staff could be one of those signs at beaches/pools that reminds you about swimming safely
