Why do you prefer this skin over the beach skin

I have a thing for modern / Tech skins (Love Mecha Tyrael)

Also, the sound effect from the Summer skin’s pistols make me feel like I’m dealing less damage.

I love the Spectre skins in general. But I have no intention of playing Illidan or Nova lol.

Started leveling Tracer just recently (level 50 right now. Also curious about the builds you’re using and why.

Were you thinking of dropping her after the rework?

Do you miss your best friend?

Also congrats. That’s a good achievement.

Lifetime,
All games modes. 56.7%. -
SL, 59.1%

This season
All games modes: 49.5%
SL: 61.5%

This is my favorite build
[T1212113,Tracer]

-I find “One-two punch” to be almost mandatory. You give up a lot of damage if you don’t take it, and I find “parting gift” to be pretty useless. Also, 1-2 punch synergies with lvl 16 and 20 options, and means you charge your bomb faster.

-Lvl 4. “Pulse generator” is the best value if you have a healer, since it gives you both health and a blink charge. You can stay engaged longer, and you don’t need to burn Recall to escape. (Just don’t miss) People who know Tracer will watch for you to use 3 blink charges. This gives you one more out of nowhere.

-Lvl 7, I pick “Sleigh of Hand” because it’s an automatic dps buff. “Locked and Loaded” is technically better. But multitasking can make me miss things. And I’d rather focus on my positionning. It also gives you the most pulse bomb charge of the three options. “Focus fire” is just horrible. Since you often have to switch targets, the value you get out of it is really bad.

-10 is usually “Quantum spike”, especially since Tracer’s damage was gutted. There are times you could justify “Sticky bomb” but 99% it’s going to be Quantum. Her bomb damage was nerfed so much that they made it pretty much mandatory.

-13. Anything but “Telefrag”

-16. Pre-rework it used to be ricochet. But the structure changes means that whenever you’re fighting near an enemy structure, it will hit someone standing near it (but far from you) and the forts will always target you. (The ricochet range is pretty large) It makes it hard to do your job. So it’s usually between “bullet spray” and “heavy handed”. I find myself picking bullet spray more often because my team mates will often ignore huge waves that threathen our structures, and I have to deal with it. Also nice on Infernal shrines.

-Lvl 20 is usually between “heavy handed” and “Total recall”. I tend to favor recall as it allows plays that you can’t otherwise do, as you can reset your health bar. I find “Chrono trigger” pretty bad. First because you have to burn a blink to get value from it, and only if you stick on your target long enough to use two clips. 2nd, Going AA build with Tracer is kind of pointless. You might as well pick Raynor. “Composition B” Is kind of win more. Either the second bomb hits nothing, or your team is a blowout comp and the target dies anyway, so you might as well go “heavy Handed” to make sure your bomb is available.

-Anyone with a Aba hat.
-Valeera. Because I can’t reveal her except with bomb, and silence means a dead Tracer. She makes you spend a lot of time doing nothing to avoid a gank.
-Zeratul. He eats you alive. Vorpal does not care if you recalled.
-BrightWing. Polymorph is a dead sentence.
-Greymane. With GftT, if you take any amount of damage he can instantly kill you.
-Diablo. Unless his team are clueless, if he gets a Q stun on you, you’re dead.
-Gul Dan. Ever since he got slow on W. You already couldn’t kill him because he outheals your damage, but the slow actually gets you killed. Not to mention Horify.
-Uther Not just the stun, but the armor he grants makes you feel like you’re throwing paper planes.
-Zul Jin He hits HARD. If he has a Q on you, 8 auto attacks will kill you. If you’re being chased by Tracer, ZJ can peel by right clicking on her. He can keep forcing you to back away during team fights.

Annoying
-Medhiv. Because none of your bombs will ever do damage. And he can use portal to laugh at your blinks when you retreat.
-Stukov with Biotic armor. Your damage becomes laughable. Also, don’t get silenced.

Mainly, if you just can’t get the timing down, or if you have trouble multitasking in-game, which I do. The timing changes a bit based on your ping. For me, I usually can re-activate when Tracer has her hands above her head in her reload animation, but not always. If your ping is erratic, don’t pick it.
Another reason is if you want to pick “Pulse rounds” + “Sleight of hands” and just spam as many bombs as possible. (I tend to use my bombs as finishers). Locked and loaded deals more damage, but doesn’t affect your bomb charge rate.

I think she’s ok. She has a lot of counters, and you need to know when to take risks to get value with her. She won’t fit into any comp, or against any comps. So I can’t pick her every game, I do wish she didn’t have trouble against some of the mages though, that’s the opposite of what a diver should be.

See my previous reply. But I forgot to include Zagara, Her summons can make your life miserable.

The worse is definitely KTZ. He can’t do anything against her. Junkrat is also not a threat. Dehaka can’t ever do anything to you, same for Ragnaros. You will kite them forever. Same for Chromie and Probius. And of course Ana.

That was only in Overwatch.

When there is a high value target who would generally be safe on the enemy team. Like a Junkrat, Chomie or Ana. Sometimes Lucio, as he can’t be nearly as agressive with a Tracer around. Sometimes I’m hesitating ,and I see a Stitches enemy pick. I feel safer with a Tracer than a Raynor, since I can just recall after a gorge.

I’d say yes.

I think the most mobile is still Zeratul.

That’s two characters. Of course it’s better.

What do you think about the bomb talent at 20. Is it worth picking ?
Which healer do you prefer to have on your team with Tracer.

No. Whenever anything changes, I adapt. If her DPS had dropped any more, I might have switched to Zeratul. I feel her bomb damage was overnerfed. But she’s not too weak to be played, and the re-work made it a lot less frustrating to play Tracer in QM without a healer.

Who? You mean Tass? Most Tassaadars I played with pre rework would mainly shield themselves :frowning:

The other talents will pretty much always give you more value. Instant bomb detonation and displacement, or a health reset, are more useful than maybe more damage.

Malfurion, if the player knows how to play with Tracer (Put a heal on her before she engages ) Or Morales.

Healing a Tracer as Ana is just frustrating. At least during combat.

You’re list is interesting, but I wonder why taunt Varian isn’t there? Isn’t E+R+W+Q not a death sentence for Tracer? Especially because if you hit him if your fast attacks, you refresh his trait (Overpower).

I guess Varian is in theory. But I never get anywhere near him unless either I know my tank will CC him or he already used taunt. (Or he has taunt but no one able to follow up).

If you react quick enough, you can actually pull him into your team if he uses E on you.
