I don’t care if the que times are longer. I don’t want to play in the clown train that QM is with “expanding search” results.

Many of us have been asking for this. I hope it’s possible to implement this option as the new relaxed version of QM rules is a nightmare.

Solo tanking with Leoric is a thing again. I really want an option to have particular roles filled again.

I just hated old QM, sure there aren’t that many people that want to maintank but holy crap I do not want to practice heroes that have a high skillcap and require a balanced comp to function in QM.
It’s like if I take this into draft people will be pissed because I’m not that good, if I take this into QM, I get clowned on, I don’t want to fight 5v5 assassin royals, I just want teamplay to be the best play.

I would love this.
I don’t mind waiting longer to have a QM match that isnt just 10 dps beating the crap out of each other.

As I’m not a game programmer or anything like it, I never make definitive statements about these kind of tech issues as I don’t know what I’m talking about. 
From what you and others have said who do have some know-how I’m pleased to hear it is an option. But as you also noted it takes effort to put through these changes.

There are very few things that would be impossible to program as far as matchmaking logic is concerned.
But like I said, they’re already doing something similar with the HL TL merger so they already know how to do it.
