Played like 10 QM games and 5 brawls = nothing, nada, one brawl counted in and that’s it mainly cause the brawl was not capped
So yes = Leaver status is permanent as of now UNLESS there’s a brawl you can play that isn’t capped

I have this same problem! and I was clearly active at my computer when I was kicked and given the status to begin with…played several games with out disconnecting both QM and brawl… still there… unable to play ranked games with my buddies kinda sucks.
You have to win leaver games to clear them now. That means you lost 10+ games in a row.
Not saying 10+ straight losses can’t happen happen legitimately as a result of very bad luck, but many throwers are just afking through leaver games and still expecting to clear them as usual.
This change makes it impossible to just throw leaver matches, you have to help your team win or it stays.
if you are in a group with some one who does not have leaver status and play a game and win does that remove your leaver status?
Yes, it will clear, though the non-leaver will have to play in leaver queue as well with the person who has a penalty. Some people refuse to join leaver games but you can usually always find 2-3 people to clear it with (to make a win easier).
The easiest way to clear it would be Brawl with a group (if you want to win quickly, I would invite people who are at least platinum, since Brawl has no matchmaking and you will get an easy game)

Did they update the Message though ?, not sure if I noticed… And yeah, didn’t quite lose that much but got 2 times DC (sadly, something’s wrong with the ISP or even the Server last couple of days)
First time managed to clear relatively easy via brawl, thought the requirement was not completed lol, but that makes sense
