Kel'Thuzad Combos

How does everyone do their Kel’Thuzad combo? I personally see a lot of people use the ice pillar, hook that then hook someone else. The immediate problem I saw in that when I picked him up was that it really just zones people off rather than set up for a combo.

What I practiced the combo as in Practice before I got him was E (hook enemy), Ice Pillar, E (Throw hook to the pillar, at this point the hook has a pretty large hitbox to land it, W mostly out of their hitbox but leaving some room so they walk into it when they unhook, then I R right ontop of the W.

This works pretty well most of the time, but is countered by walking to the sides or if they dont get hooked I just waste abilities.

-Depending on how much frontline protection and support you have, your order of preference for your combo kill in a teamfight is:

  1. Chain 2 heroes together - usually first to the enemy tank or a slow, large target and second to a backline hero.
  2. Chain 1 hero, spike, chain to spike - again usually on a tank or a slow hero without mobility.
  3. Spike, chain to spike, chain to hero - for situations where you cannot get in range (enemy Hammer, Chromie, Liming, etc.) or against multiple dive heroes.
