Just venting here, but what is with overconfident Li Li and Lucio players?

It’s like they think they’re actually invincible or something. I don’t even play that recklessly on Johanna or Muradin. Just ramming right into the middle of the enemy team and sitting there when there’s no fight going on and getting CCed and beaten down. Repeatedly.

I think people just like to pretend they are streamers, but just like the streamers they get CC’d and die

Because it’s fun.
Playing aggressive turns Lucio from one of the most boring healers to one of the most fun.

Yeah sure you’ll die instantly if you get CC’d, but if you dodge their most important cc then you get to live in their backline ;D

How does one kill that which has 1,000 cups?

Well, for the Li LI in my last game, besides screaming in what I guess is either whatever they say in Mexico or Brazil, honestly can’t tell, I’m not fluent in those languages, she mostly took the water dragon build and played more aggressively than me (the Tank).

Which is really the straw that broke the camel’s back about all this recklessness.

maybe they are used to QM; where you might go against a comp with no CC.

You can take this out cause that’s not part of the problem :slightly_smiling_face:

Lili can be built to benefit from taking poke.

This.

“Hero damage Lucio” is one of the most fun heroes to play, and he can even be a very valuable healer while doing so.

Not to mention in casual games he can nibble down enemy assassin HP pools surprisingly well & escape safely after doing so.

Is it a good play style in super serious, super high MMR games? No. Good players will quickly shut him down if he attempts to play that aggressively.
But the vast majority of players could find that playstyle not only a lot of fun but genuinely useful in winning more games.

Confirmed. Finding a Lunara or Stitches as Li Li means Fast Feet has big, big uptime.

Pretty much. Plus, both Lucio and Lili actually got tools to do that. Lucios trait is the biggest buff he got during rework

Because its the LOLZ when your on EZ street.

Lucio and Li Li are both speedy heroes. Whatever your trying to say, “overconfident” is accurate of how players should play them. It’s jokes (and srsly this game is broke as fk) with mobile heroes. Li Li generally jukes and flys arounds enemies and Lucio clearly the same in more experienced hands.

Its funny how Lunara turned from highly mobile hero to “take a seat, Overwatch is here”. It goes far from OW heroes tho.

Whatever tho, just … white knight poop (Sh*t can’t be said, but it means the same freaking thing, but fragile little flowers cry about these words) or ya… whatever.

I find him to be a less fun illidan with crutches but the basis of the playstyle is the same i agree.

i play aram, and when i play lili i always go for Eager Adventurer which lets you cast more spells and regen more mana but you need to take dmg to get it.
i also go for Mass Vortex at 13 for more blinds and more dmg.

both of these kinda need lili to be playing pretty deep in the action!
and usually it works out well!
i’ll usually end the game with more dmg than some of the damage dealers,
and more healing than the enemy healer.

Well I look at it as someone on their way to learning to play the hero right. As opposed to people who just stand in the back who are just playing the hero wrong.

Yeah is almost like who they heal depends on THEIR positioning… Oh wait it DOES. I over extend because I’m trying to heal or cleanse a hero that is deep or stay with them same for lucio I might try to get to a hero I think I can save and just go to deep.

Now there are some Lili’s and Lucios that play them like assassins, their just not playing the hero correctly in my opinion…

I don’t know much about lucio, but li li’s trait makes her perform best when she takes constant light damage. Against a cc heavy team, that doesn’t work out so well, but especially if she gets the armor at level 20 she’s basically an uber tank against sustained damage.

While ofcourse theres always people messing up or playing overconfident, compared to other healers Li Li and Lucio generally need/want to be more aggresive. Just like how Mephisto or Medivh will be jumping in for damage more often than Jaina and Kael’thas, these healers have kits that allow and reward more aggresive play.

Bringing them purely for healing can be wasteful, since heroes like Ana, Anduin or Malfurion can heal while adding valuable CC to peel or help set up kills. Li Li and especially Lucio excel at keeping an enemy busy and distracted, slowly wearing them down or slowing down rotations. Ofcourse this can be pushed too far, and you always need to weigh the gains of this pressure versus the risk of it
