When you are defending against the enemy immortal while it’s pushing down your lane as the title said you can get Dirty Trickster to proc by getting stunned by the AoE stun from the immortal.
(the big sword slash thing where it twirls around)
Blow em up will also proc if you use your mine on the enemy immortal while it is pushing down the lane.
(not sure if this works with the trap, i don’t remember)
misc info about the match
‘Blow em up’ (lvl 1 talent) triggering from immortal is probably unintended.
‘Dirty trickster’ (lvl 7 talent) has an OR condition on it, that enables 2 scenarios to trigger the bombs, first is getting crowd controlled, and the second one is just taking damage from an enemy hero when under certain hp % threshold.
It correctly triggers below 50% on any damage taken from an enemy hero. About the first part that includes being victim to crowd control, I think it works along the line of Kharazim’s Sixth Sense and Gazlowe’s X-Tra Large Bombs which both can be intentionally gamed using map objectives to trigger. These talents however don’t include the word HERO on their entire tooltip.
I’d argue for consistency with the interactions from these two heroes. However Dirty Trickster tooltip may be somewhat confusing or need better wording, and it’s a question how the developers choose to handle it. There are many exceptions in the game where consistency is thrown out in favor of balancing reasons.
eh, i don’t think so…
I think here it is purely a “Get used to it”.
I almost reported it as a bug when it triggered without being CCed, because I thought it was “under 50% HP when you get CCed”.
The only thing they might want to add, which is that sleep counts as a stun or something like that. I forget exactly how it works, but sleep counts towards something else, and i’m pretty sure it is something that triggers Dirty Trickster.
The word “OR” in the tooltip implies it has 3 separate triggers which are root, stun and HP threshold triggered exclusively through hero damage. There is no word “AND” in the entire sentance that could cause any confusion.
The only thing that could be a bug is talent triggering from non-hero damage sources, because of specific but vague wording. Although I already explained there are several instances of abilities and buffs in the game that activate from things like monster/boss and objective terrain damage and their crowd control effects, those abilities have very clear text which does not have a word HERO anywhere near. It’s up for interpretation.
