Is there a way to play this without using a mouse? I love HotS but I literally can’t play anymore because of the punishing effect on my body with prolonged clicking. A lifelong habit of gaming has created this imbalance in my body from being on a mouse so much. It’s gotten to the point where I literally can’t play this game without suffering pain in my arm and shoulder later on.
Does anyone play this game without a mouse?
Get a better mouse. Ive tried it. Its almost impossible to play a moba with a controller.
use proper ergonomics.
i have played video games every day for over 10 years and used to spend 4 hours in a work day doing nothing but clicking and typing.
you need to see a doctor but likely need to adjust your posture. and get ergonomic beanbag supports for your wrists, get a non-ambdxtrious mouse, and probably get a new chair. not one of those gaming chairs, get a legit chair like a hmiller aeron or something. there are many factors you would never imagine that would impact your nerves.
i have gone through at least 15 mice in recent memory, most of which had life expectancies of up to 2-3 million clicks but some of my high-end ones up to 20 milion clicks. all had the same failure, mouse 2 and i would proceed to buy a new mouse. i currently have a wmo 1.1a, a naga, a razer 8 button of some kind, a hp 100, and a random 2bw in a door that all have died in the past 2 years.
i have never experienced any kind of pain, but my 2 ring fingers are literally angled outward a degree or two from two keys, tab and backspace use. that is how you identify a person who lives computers.
it is impossible to play this game without a mouse, its unthinkable. using a touchpad would be 5 times worse for you, and finger mice are bad for your thumbs.
just get an ergo setup and you really should go get checked for a pinched nerve, i stay very healthy because of my habits but the culprit is probably a nerve that has been compressed
It’s mostly an issue of ergonomics and posture. When you sit in your chair, do you lean over to one side, bearing down on your armrest with your forearm/elbow?
I’ve found the most effective way for me to deal with this is do some front and side deltoid raises using free weights. Doesn’t take much weight.
You need to a) see a chiro b) get an ergonomic chair and mouse
Hello. I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to let you know you can get a habit for using a trackball mouse and map your click on a different button. Thats what I do! Ive had repeated tendonitis because of computer gaming and with this trick all my problems went away! GL!
