Is there a way to restart my Heroes of the Storm progress/leveling? From the beginning?

Title

I’ve played it off and on, probably made tons of mistakes with my choice in heroes to unlock or the spending of the gold/crystals without having any real knowledge of how the game is supposed to be played or what heroes are best, etc etc.

Is there any way to reset everything (my player AND hero levels) back to level 1 so I can level up again, this time with actual knowledge of WHAT I should be spending gold and crystals on?

If there isn’t that’s cool, and I understand that some mistakes just have to be learned from, but it’d be nice if I could get an easy “restore to factory defaults” sorta thing here.

Also, sorry if this is in the wrong location, I’ve never posted on the heroes of the storm forums before.

You can make a new account I suppose, else you are out of luck ¯_(ツ)_/¯

The game is f2p, so you could make a new battle account and restart like that. Though, you’re probably going to stomp your first few games, implying that you find one since low mmr queue times are hilariously long now.

Yep, making a new account will also kickstart you with a free boost and heroes. Don’t forget to refer-a-friend yourself with old and new accounts so you get an extra boost, raynor and sylvanas.

You learn from your mistakes. Not much of a lesson if you can take it back. Like how I bought the rex pack when he first came out…worse 10 bucks of my life.

Which heroes you unlocked isn’t really an issue, since it would just take you longer to start over and re-unlock others. (But why do you say your choice of heroes was bad?)

Re-starting wouldn’t give you any benefits however.

What exactly is your goal?

Well, I made it to player level 60-70ish with absolutely zero knowledge of the game and just intended to play it to hang out with a WoW friend at the time, I’ve wasted tons and tons of gold re-rolling chest loot and also gems buying rare chests, instead of just using them to unlock heroes.

I don’t know how much that matters but by nearly player level 70 I feel like I’ve wasted tons and tons of currency on just cosmetics instead of actually being able to unlock heroes I enjoy playing, whereas if I start over, sure I have to do these 60+ player levels again anyways, but I manage to actually spend the gold and gems gained more wisely

If you were smart enough not to spend any real money on this game do this:

So you get to pick either a Jaina/Tyrande/Muradin for free, a free Raynor and Sylvanas, and a loot chest with another free hero and Stim thing. If you’re only level 70 and are sure of the heroes you want, this may be faster.

Word, thanks for all the advice. I may just keep the account and learn from the mistakes I’ve made. I guess 70 isn’t that high anyways

Account lv 70 is peanuts.
Also I doubt you have that many games yet, so your MMR is still quite flexible to move you up or down :slight_smile:
