It sounds like neither of us are going to agree with eachother. I still think leo is the second best bruiser in the game and a very safe laner.
Im still curious tho, how come your so experienced with him but dont see his potential as a double soaker? Thats like, one of his main selling points in compative.

Usually, you want to use Wraith walk in response to incoming CC, so they no longer have it when it ends. And most heroes don’t have the range to catch you with CC after a full wraith walk.
I would normally have my W on something during wraith walk, and since I pick drain momentum, I have bonus move speed at the end of it. I consistently have low death counts in my games, and I’ve never had the highest. My highest death count is 4.

I think Rum may be correct. It may be a skill issue. The unstoppable on demand is Leo’s strongest point.
He did get hit by Anduin’s root there, when he easily could have dodged it. That WAS weird. Though realisticly, he really shouldn’t have been up there by himself. I don’t think any bruiser would have survived that mistake.
Double Soak Leoric is pretty big deal when you consider he just cleaves wave quickly enough before rotating to the next and if the offlaner even tries to touch him he will feed them depression, Leoric can do some quite the damage before the other person can chunk into his health far enough.
I’ve seen him in high MMR and played against him with stronger bruisers and its literally a game of staying away, especially if you get grabbed and leeched.
Got inspired to try Leoric again and it went as well as expected.
First one with a 600% deficit healer Malfurion and his two buddies who both died five times before the first objective. Ended with 4-40 and about halfway in decided to afk in enemy base to speed it up. Still somehow beat the best enemy damage dealer by a good margin. I don’t even know what he was worried about because Core cannot be damaged with intact Keeps. I beat Tychus and Diablo together two times on a two level disadvantage. Unsurprisingly someone from the enemy team got very curious and had to ask why I “ruined everything” 15 min into the match. Dumbos on both teams I guess. I wonder how they couldn’t defeat us much sooner.
The second one I literally had Abathur sit on top of me for 80% of game time on BHB while my team desperately needed help on the other end of map. He is helping me “double soak” and my other guys are dying trying to capture bruisers. Someone probably noticed they were missing for 90 seconds and decided to investigate.
In the third one Muradin chased me for 20min and wanted to duel me. He would even pre-jump to stack Block and then panic once he noticed my health wasn’t dropping at all. His trait would kick in and instead waiting for a moment he would dive back in gaining nothing from it.
Something something playing on the weekend at 4 am. I can’t find a normal match with warm bodies while everyone from the forum is having so much fun.
They can do them à la the basic Halloween skins like Gazlowe or Brightwing where they just plonked a hat or paper bag over their head.
I have a soft spot for some of those simple skins, precisely because they look a little cheap. Of course, Gaz or Brightwing would be a little lazy, if they had to design their own costumes.
Shout out to a Halloween skin that wasn’t as basic, Whitemane’s with the hero specific kitty mount, is one of my all-time favorites.
This thread inspired me to take the old bag of bones for a spin too, but I only played one Leoric game, and it resulted in a win, despite a very average performance on my part.

Unfortunately, the majority of the threads were complaining about mirror games and asking for them to be removed, which is why they can only occur 2% of the time, rather than 5%.
Alll Butcher, Murky, Naz were my personal favorites. I think all Imperius would have been super fun too, but my team had two people AFK because “unfun.”
My first ever mirror match years ago was an all Falstad match. 4 on each team went lazers, was so fun

After two dumb misplays the only thing we could do was to camp at their core and have Abathur copy me the moment plants came running at us. At first around 20min it couldn’t get the job done even with autoattack talents, but it did reduce the objective snowball so much that we barely lost a single Keep.
I waited a little bit longer until scaling kicked in harder. They caught me once but second time it was too late and we just chewed through it. Spooky Walk even helped against Falstad’s Wind Tunnel attempt at keeping both of our bodies away from the Core.
Got +4.68 points for this so the enemy team probably knew what they were doing. Unfortunately for the enemy team, Nazeebo was only at 168 stacks in 27 minutes. They had a much better teamfight with mass blind and two good disengage mechanics.

This is the salt mines. It is all ranged characters and not a single volskaya, dragon shire or infernal shrines map. Literally the only three maps where you can shine.
Leoric in QM isn’t the most fun thing. Strong wave clear, CC immunity and free scouting can carry the game hard, but compositions are so horrible that you’re almost always kept at arms lengths by a stack of ranged assassins.
You desperately require bushes to get near the enemy and the moment and Zagara does a very good job of allowing everyone else to keep you at arms length.
Throw in a random Valla who can see your every move and you lose half of your health before you even get close.

31 games it’s not that much to take the winrate seriously, i had 80%+ sometimes depending of how it turn good or bad for me, i even had a 12-14 games winstreak with leoric.
If you are playing against good players sometimes they are able to anticipate your moves to force you to make an error, but yeah he should have not been there in the first place in the video linked above, i agree, that’s why i’ve said “everyone does mistakes”, because you are not immune to your nature as an human.
About the skill issue, don’t tell me you’re never doing mistakes, even pro players do fail sometimes, that’s why (partially) you are not at 100% wr, none can, or maybe the guy who does a game and stop after the single win he had…
