Is butch a problem in qm. ues or no?

he appears to be way overtuned as soon as he gets fed with 200 stacks. played alot of matches against him, we win early game but as soon as he gets 200 regardless of ours or theyre comp. the other team always snowballs into a win. so the pattern continues anyway.

These words are very very VERY false
Even a fed butch has abundant counters in 90% of actual solid comps. 3/4 of the main tanks have means of dealing with him (I think Tyrael is the only person labelled “tank” who can’t outright wreck him in a team fight)
Literally any number of CC’s that aren’t silence ANY cc even weak knockback,
Heck walking away from him if you have the brand can do so SO much

The problem is is that Butches primary counter post-feed is tanks, and we all know how endangered a species they are in QM

QM often creates matches with no healer or tank, and Butcher players know this. It’s not a good enough reason to nerf him since the game isn’t balanced around QM. But I’m sure many Butcher players queue as him hoping for such matchups.

However I suspect the original design of Nova was changed due to similar QM complaints since she was never an issue (or even a good pick) in Hero League.
And there were many complaints about her damage. It was about the only subject in General Discussion.

Butcher is nowhere near as popular in QM as the original Nova was back in the day, though. Probably because he is much less safe to play as a melee hero.

Butcher in QM is the definition of hit or miss. He’s either sitting below 100 stacks when the game ends or he’s the delete king (I’ve seen him get as high as 480 stacks). This and the uncoordinated nature of QM makes him either useless or unstoppable. I’ve won some games against a stacked butch since they usually get very cocky and overextend. I just chalk it up to “eh it’s QM”.

Butcher is not a problem in QM.

Thats insanely wrong.

Butcher is a problem if he doesnt have enough counters. with every enemy death he becomes stronger. If game goes into late-game like 22 23 level. hes a monster.
Unless, there are coordinated stuns n follow ups OR
coordinated blinds n follow ups

And follow ups are not common in QM mostly. n thts where butchers excel

No because honestly how often does a Butcher actually get fed to be useful to your team? It’s easy to say that about the enemy team but when you have one on your team it’s clear that you’re not going to consistently have a win condition with that Butcher. Further to that, I’m not even adding the weird team compositions you’re stuck with in QM that can just as very easily screw over the Butcher player.

When he’s fully fed he can be insane if he gets a roll on, but you shouldn’t have allowed him to be fed so much. He only really becomes a problem if the team just brainlessly feeds.

In assassin only qm games yeah it can be tough but even assassins have lots of CC options and mobility to somewhat combat the butcher

its problem if you dont have cc to shut down him

Only when Liming goes Orb Build with Glass Cannon.

that’s the whole point. you must focus the butcher mostly and gank him as much as you can to deny him from finishing his meat quest. in my games enemy Butcher is not allowed literally NOT ALLOWED to feel safe he get’s attacked whenever he move a step ahead from his forts

I have played Butcher with full stacks and Furnace ult vs two Li-Mings who think it was a good idea to do that. Was fun watching that Li-Ming getting one-shotted whole game.

Why is this liming build so popular in lower ranks is also highly disturbing.

I think it is because they feel safest playing that build, and from there I suppose the habit of choosing those talents are only exacerbated by the frequent lack of a proper front line. But yeah it is frustrating when they don’t bother adjusting when its obvious that there are heroes that easily capitalize on this build’s low HP, e.g. Butcher, Genji, Qhira, or any dive hero with a strong gap closer etc.

Lemme just throw out that Glass Cannon make Pyroblast to cause her health to go from 100% HP to 0

What isn’t a problem in QM?

Don’t forget Kael’thas my the pits of hell take him
I’ve watched Li’mings take Glass Cannon even after it’s ABUNDANTLY clear the Kael went Pyroblast

I think it’s worse than that, IIRC when you have Glass Cannon, Pyroblast will oneshot you even through Diamond Skin.

Which means, after they removed the ability to disjoint spells with teleports, you are 100% dead every single time Kael manages to cast his ult on you.

Unless you have a teammate who can cast armor, protection or divine shield on you, that single talent (Glass Cannon) just made it 4v5 for the rest of the match.

Because with Orb build Ming bad players can easily think they’re significantly better than they really are. They only care about numbers, but they can’t see things behind them… They usually end the game with highest dmg and get mvp (because mvp screen is dumb), they are happy and think they carried the whole game. They don’t care they didn’t kill anyone, they don’t know they were just pointlessly poke enemy tank…

P.S. Seriously, show us stats only AFTER the game ends!

Actually both of Tyraels ultimates demolish a Butcher and Holy Ground lets you kite safely.
