Do you think the demon would be friend with him ? Because he left diablo and run away with the soul stone, then he his killed at the end by baal. But all the time he was with diablo, he was like friend with him no ?
I think that Diablo has servants not friends and that he or Baal would have killed
Marius the moment Marius outlived his usefulness.
Although one could say that it was the last bit of Aidan that stop diablo from killing
Marius in their time together.
Tyrael was realy thinking marius could pass the portal to hell and bring the stone to the forge to make it destroyed ?
He was thinking that Marius could get it to someone who could. If you recall, when he had Marius run he wasn’t exactly in a position to be picky about who got the thing out of there, only that it had to be taken away from the Prime Evils.
He would either have been killed or corrupted. Probably decided on whatever fate he saw as worse.
He needed to bring it to the Pandemonium fortress which is controlled by Tyrael and his followers.
Maybe even Diablo didn’t know why he let him live for so long and they were all led by something?
But as to friends, no. Diablo doesn’t have friends. Diablo doesn’t seem to have positive emotions at all, it really doesn’t seem to be capable of friendship. Even his brothers were nothing more than useful allies/pawns. And snacks. He’s literally a fragment of the source of all evil and darkness, not exactly something that has human desires or wants.
aw, good lore story telling. remember those days blizz, remember those days.
delaryn voice: hburr durr i’m gonna go join the horde; them killing me and a bunch of our people was nowhere near as bad as you failing to stop them from killing me and a bunch of our people!
oh blizz…
Probably less ‘Friend’ and more ‘Useful tool’.
Also I think it was implied that Diablo was still gaining control during their journey (‘My companion wasn’t gaining strength, he was losing it’ or something like that), it wasn’t Diablo at full strength who actively decided he wanted to travel with this random mortal.
