Imperius and Diablo are so alike

I like how they made Imperius a type of Mirror to Diablo, just as reference to Diablo stating how they are so alike.

I don’t know if anyone noticed it but I thought I’d point it out as it seems intentional.

His Q is a charge/stun just like Diablo, his W/E are aoe fire wrath that heals just like Diablo.

His ult Wrath of the Angiris is liek a more powerful version of Diablos E to push the enemy back into your team.

It really just is cool, when I saw he was released I thought “Wow I’ll check him out, I wonder if they made him like Diablo like the lore suggests as an easter egg” and it seems they have =D

EEerm, what even?

While Diablo and Imperius are rivals and have it out for each other, they aren’t alike, neither in kit, nor character.

If you are referring to the prophecy of Fallen Imperius, he’ll become the Aspect of Wrath, like how Malth became the Aspect of Death.

I’m talking about how in the old animation Diablo states how they are both so alike, and how he isn’t like his bretheren.

No, they play very differently.

Imperius’s Q can be used as an escape and go through walls. Diablo’s Q cannot be used as an escape unless there’s an enemy (minion) in the direction of your intended escape and it cannot go through walls. Imperius’s Q is harder to land, but can be used in more situations, while to get the most out of Diablo’s Q, you need much more awareness of your positioning and it’s also a higher risk move. Their W, E, and R aren’t really anything alike.

You might as well as say Tyrande, Hanzo, Valla, and Sylvanas are so alike because they all have bows. Or Junkrat and Zarya are so alike because they both have Q grenades.

Imp and dibs playstyle’s are so different that Imp’s style sets up kills in a forward manner. If you work with a team you can literally have a gank set up. It’s easier to do than the Tyrande + dibblez combo.

Imperius is unique in his own that you can use with his kit. So I’ll cover all grounds. Next time charge as Imp then “overpower” as Imperius and tell me that’s dibbles and tell me is it the same mechanics if he even has that. His kit is for engagement while diablo’s a unique aoe zone style. It’s like you guys are running out of ideas and become paranoid in thinking what it is suppose to be, when it’s not. Stop that annoying thinking. If we made everything unique to the best of balance, we would’ve stopped somewhere at Maeiv.

They have some similarity as they both are all in charge forward heroes.
It is easier to follow up after imperius as you do not risk displacing someone out of their abilities, unless you go for apoc combo.

I actually find valla and current sylvanas to be pretty alike right now.

???

It’s similar to how Vikings soak lanes the way Abathur can soak his. There needs to be something there unless you want Imp to twirl enemies around in a circle, which wouldnt work for the way he is and acts. That’s the best way I can out it.

That’s ridiculous. From the trait to the ultimates, they aren’t anything similar to each other at all.

I play them both a lot but for me these similarities are rather far-fetched.

Both are disgustingly overpowered
