For the people that aren’t completely closed off to the idea of a Nexus Hero addition, what lores are “off-limits?” People didn’t like Qhira’s lore. Was it due to the sparse knowledge even WITH her lore given?
I was thinking a new Nexus Hero idea but it’d be how a normal human in our reality was warped to the Blizzardverse (Nexus) and how someone like ourselves would explore and learn more about the Nexus. He/she could meet characters in the Blizzardverse, possibly get his/her potential unlocked to use magic (at least from my custom idea so far), and eventually join a major power to get in on the action. See–> The Gravekeeper’s Assistant
Would you accept a human being transported into the fantasy world lore, or would you rather have a Nexus hero already born in the Blizzard universe?

I’m still hoping for a minion that broke free from his slavery and became a hero that fights to free his people, by killing his people.

Seems like a dark backstory
I want the grave keeper in. Lore wise, he lost his control of his domain(that’s why haunted mines is gone). Due to his power loss, he becomes a playable hero, as he can no longer be powerful enough to be a nexus lord.

I love this idea! What a cool throwback too.
Ha then he can have an ult that summons a bone golem

The DK lady has a two children the sun and moon… would be an interesting concept

I wouldn’t want the gravekeeper or raven lord in the game for at least 10 years. I’d rather keep them powerful and mysterious (evenly matched in Towers of Doom), while other Nexus Heroes could either be under their leadership or completely new hero/lore that isn’t a god.
Orphea is being related to Raven Court that I already found here but another other Nexus heroes? would be an interesting concept for it.
Isn’t the “normal human gone to the wrong place” trope already taken by jimmy in the tutorial?

I think he can be a hero in the tutorials though, to replace Jimmy, someone with a Jaina level difficulty and skill cap. Would be a dope idea.
Oh yeah they can be cool.

I’m always open to new Nexus’s original heroes, whatever they are.
About, Qhira. I don’t know much about her lore, all I know about her is that she is a hunter and that’s it, but that’s all I need. I like her just ‘cause she is fun to play. Heck, I don’t know much about other heroes’ lore neither (some I do, some I don’t), but I don’t need that to enjoy playing with such heroes.
So, yeah, bring them on!

Anything is possible and your hero isn’t an exception.
I am just pissed off that Blizz stated hots was for blizzard characters only and they gave us 2 nexus born heroes. I just hate it when companies don’t go by their word and it makes me not loyal to the brand.
But I am not angry about orphea or qhira, I like them both. Just a shame, so many times Blizzard states 1 thing and does the opposite.
Problem with nexus originals is that you have still so many requested characters from blizz universes, that people don’t want some original heroes.
I bet there definitely exist a character which could have Qhira’s or Orphea’s kit and be out of WoW or SC or Diablo.

I’m not as interested in a hero back story as much as I would love to see something with an unique play style and interesting new mechanics. Gameplay first.

Good storyline would buy.
If you like the nexus heroes already released, wasn’t it a good thing they went against what they stated before? It does mean other non-nexus heroes are delayed though.
Luckily if players stick with HOTS, in 30 years or so you’d get at least 90 more heroes. More if development ever picks up again.
That’s essentially Veigar from lol.
Yes, it’s ironic what I said.
Though, I still hate companies that doesn’t abide by their own public announcements. I know things change and such but I just find it very annoying.
I think it comes back to how I deal with work/client situations and I abide to my personal statements to my clients. If (on a rare chance) I do change my mind, I will say something like: “I know I said I will do X but I think it’s better if we do X now because of Y”.
Thing is with Blizzard, they never backtrack and never admit fault which tarnishes their brand further and player base actually calls them out for it.
Nexus heroes aren’t a problem themselves. The “problem” is that there are already enough heroes, to be added from other franchises.
For example there’s still no Winston, who’s almost as iconic as Tracer.
Then WoW alone has dozens of heroes to be added. For example there’s still not a single Darkspear Troll hero(Zul’jin isn’t Darkspear), not a single Tauren(ETC doesn’t count), not a single Gnome (Chromie isn’t a gnome) and all three have been playable for 15 years now. Not to mention there’s not a single Naga, still no Archimonde or Kil’Jaeden, not a single Nightborne or Zandalari and they were the main races of recent expansions…
Heck there isn’t even a real Blood Elf, Kael and Valeera both betrayed them lore wise, and some 50% of WoW players are Blood Elves.
