I think it would be great to have the ability to select our desired abilities before the game starts so that when we reach the proper char lvl they will be automatically selected. Maybe we could have a couple build slots to save them. Also give us the option to cancel these “auto fills” in case we have to change strategies during the match. I think it takes away from the game play when I have to stop what I’m doing to select a talent.

I don’t think it is needed. You can CTRL + 1 2 3 4 to quick select the talent. It’s not that hard when you start doing it.

What is that option called? I’d like to check it out on the list of key commands.
I’d have to check that in-game, but I’m not at home right now. If no one answer this, I’ll do it in a couple hours.

I can still remember that there were really good heroes portraits in the draft,
then they took them out again because some people did not like or confused them.
So my question is ,why not both options let everyone else happy ?
I liked the others portraits more.
More options are better
Especially when the work has already been done to code it. Why not add it as an option?
As for the OP — the original Lead Game Designer promised this “soon” — and then it never materialized.
Many things they did or did`t do make others just wonder but there is always a little bit of hope that they take know a better way
Go to Hotkeys > Advanced > Hero Management. Quick Talent Selection is what you look for.
