Pretty sure he’s done. But he’s bundled in with the new XP system (yeeech) and they have clearly said he will be released along with the soon to be hated new xp system when the new season starts which is in 3 weeks.
If they use the standard release process that means he’ll be on the PTR in 2 weeks

They said in an interview at Bliizcon that he would be released 2 weeks after Blizzcon.
I assume they meant “to the PTR” which means he will be on the PTR next Monday.

So when they said he was being released in Nov, they really meant to the PTR? Lol.
There is still a lot of time left in Nov.
If he is released to the PTR next Monday (like they said in an interview) then he will go live the following Tuesday, which is Nov 26th.

There’s a difference between being impatient and expecting them to do what they’ve done in the past. With nearly every hero they announced they had them on the PTR within a week. If they wanted to release Deathwing in december then they shouldn’t have announced him before Blizzcon.
Now I know what you’ll say. “It was their way of hyping up Blizzcon” and I agree. If they actually told us more about Deathwing besides showing us different colored skins for him then I wouldn’t have been as mad about this but that’s the only new thing they showed us.
It’s not our fault they set the standards high. Anduin was put on the ptr THE DAY AFTER he was announced. Come on now, we have every right to be annoyed. I don’t recall many people asking for Anduin; people have been asking for Deathwing since the beginning.

I think you should look up the definition of “nearly”
This isn’t Alexstrasza or Hanzo though, this is Deathwing. Someone that their top streamers and a majority of their fanbase has been asking for since the beginning. You say that 2 of their hero announcements were at Blizzcon in the past like it somehow nullifies my point but it doesn’t. If it were vice versa then I would agree with you but 2 exceptions isn’t enough of a justification my friend. If it were any other hero I don’t think it would be as big of a deal. Besides Alexstrasza was released barely a week after Blizzcon anyway.
Actually they said Deathwing would be released “Next season” in the interviews I saw. If someone thought that was still in november then its possible its bad calendar math.
Actually I wouldn’t have said that. I don’t pretend to know their reasoning. Could be that with Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 it was felt there were too many announcements, so they were getting some smaller ones out of the way. Could be hyping BlizzCon. Could be trying to avoid another Diablo: Immortal thing by better pacing announcements. I don’t know.
What I do know is this;
Is still being impatient. They did announce a vague release date, but as a company who tends to specifically attempt to mix things up with every genre and content release they do, release patterns tend to fall right into that. Possibly by accident, but right into that nonetheless. So I wouldn’t put much stock in what they’ve done in the past in that regard. They release when they’re ready, and they gave themselves until early December. If he’s still not out by January, then you can start complaining.
