Sometimes either the draft is so mismatched or you just have people who are playing into the enemy and you can’t convince anyone to stop,
It’s the kind of thing that ticks people off enough to non participate and then they get suspensions because they’d rather quit and wait for a more balanced game.
Whatever as much as I like comebacks it’s really hard to stay motivated for them when the power or skill difference just feels so massive that those comebacks are impossible even in HOTS.

My mom taught me to fight to the end. That’s why I am against surrender option.

Yeah, this is the only problem I have with the game.
Balance is fine, and ALL heroes I played felt entertaining even if I didn’t like them visually, or their lore.
I just had a game where I had an E.T.C who would use his ultimate into minions, I mean Stage Dive.
He would not peel and he would push enemies away from me when im playing Butcher.
100000 IQ player, prolly dropped out of school cuz he didn’t need to study any more.
Then I don’t know why healers keep healing people who are like at half or more health when im literally near death but CAN still provide insane burst damage?
Yeah, awful healer and now this parasite called Tassadar which everyone wants to play and suck at completely.
No rework can change people’s skill. If they sucked as support, there are guarantees they will be fine on him as assassin.
Also, to what you said before, it’s people like you that make me afk in the fountain.
You DON’T have the right to waste my time.
You wanna hold me hostage? Boy you’re in for a fun one.
This isn’t a problem with the game, this is a problem with the people who play the game.
Is it really so unreasonable to not enjoy getting stomped? Or stomping for that matter.
I feel incompetant and useless in the real world why the hell do I want to have to feel like that in game as well?
And you have no rights to throw my game. If we are in one team, do your best as I do. Or I will waste a lot of your time, because I will def a long as I am alive!
If people didn’t go “GG” at the 30 second mark of a game, there wouldn’t de so many stomps in this game. The reason so many games are lopsided is because people give up after 1 team fight.
Are you bringing relativity out of your 4ss for no reason?
Oh ok, so there’s no point in discussing anything on the forums because Blizzard barely listens to Forums on all of their games.
Why would I play Melee Assassins if I can play Healers?
Seriously, get a life.
It’s not the first fight
It’s the third fight 3 level advantage and absolutely no macro pressure
That’s when you say GG you’ve lost.
lol, if only people waited that long.
Had a Medivh player last night who literally started the game in bird form, immediately flew to the enemy core, switched out of bird form and died. Then respawned and did the same the entire game.
Why? No idea. Still enjoyed the game, even though that was a bit hard to recover from.
Hahahahaha.
0 pity. 20 chars
There are times you want to surrender.
Then push altf4 and be done with it and deal with being a loser who gives up.
I do,
Believe me I do, I just got a suspension for it so yay me.
Maybe they should start fixing this game too. Getting someone on your team dc whole game making the game a force lose and waste of time.
I do agree with that, first second leavers dooming people especially in ranked is very bad.
I am all for a conditionnal surrender option but i would hate to have the one from.lol or wow plastered on here.
I think most of us feel that way. We want a fair game with a fair chance. Sometimes, that’s just not going to happen. Maybe it’s a horrible mismatch in QM. Maybe it’s a vast disparity in player skill, you you’re stuck with a troll who won’t play. It happens, and stomps aren’t fun. The game also has comeback mechanics which work when players try, but when they don’t, still force a game to go 15-20 minutes, and that’s wasted time.
I’ve posted this before, and I’ll post it again here, because I think having a well-designed surrender system allows the players to override bad matchmaking like this, but should always be designed with the goal of encouraging the player to want to play to win, and that players be respectful to one another.
- Available in QM only (because the players choose their comps in draft mode)
- A one-time in-game option to initiate a vote to surrender
- Surrender vote must be unanimous for all active players on the surrendering team (if one player wants to play it out, their wish is respected)
- The surrendering team gains no exp, no gold, no quest rewards of any type. The game simply ends and it is counted as a loss. (ie the losing team is NOT rewarded)
- The winning team is awarded the victory, gains exp, gold, and quest rewards earned. (ie the winning team is NOT penalized)
- Any player may initiate the vote at any time, but only once per game. A reason can be typed in when proposing the vote. (No spamming)
- All votes are recorded anonymously. The game reports either success or failure of the vote, but not the count to avoid blaming and trolling of vetoing player(s)
- An toggleable option should exist to always vote no, for players who prefer the current rules and wish to always play to the end, so they do not have to bother with on-screen pop-ups. That option is not checked by default, but is opt-in for players who want it. If any player has this option checked, the “Initiate surrender vote” option will be grayed out and unavailable to his teammates, again with no indication of which player blocks the vote to avoid harassment. A player with the option toggled on can turn off that toggle and initiate a vote if they choose during the game.
This design preserves the incentive to always play to win, and is designed to preserve the current rule set in all but the most extreme cases. It prevents players from knowing any information that could lead to harassing or trolling of players who wish to play through. But it does allow a team that knows it is on the receiving end of a stomp to end it quickly, if everyone agrees that the game is unwinnable and agrees to the terms of the surrender (no exp, no gold, no quest rewards, etc).
