I had a game where a teammate was upset when I didn’t help him in a fight he was outnumbered 1v3. I had been healing (as Uther) but I did not have enough mana to use any more abilities, he fell , he and another player flamed me and I retorted. The other 2 teammates didn’t engage in verbal combat thankfully. We end up winning anyway by just continuing to play without too many bad plays and no other flaming. So after the match I decided to block communication with the players that accused me of not helping. I then decided to take it a step further and report the primary abuser. Out of my desire to hastily report said player I end up reporting the wrong player. Now I am here typing this to say I messed in the end. If there is a way to undo this so the player I incorrectly reported doesn’t get undeserved punishment, that would be appreciated. I don’t care about getting the report getting placed correctly. I shouldn’t have gone that far in the first place; very immature of me. If there are consequences for me incorrectly reporting, so be it. As long as the player I incorrectly reported on gets my report removed I’m happy.
While it’s admirable you want to correct a false action, you will soon figure out a single report does absolutely nothing in HotS. Or 10 reports.
Dozens have to accumulate for anything to happen. In the case afk/nonparticipation, maybe even hundreds.
If I were you I wouldn’t lose sleep over it.
I wish there was a way to un-report someone if you clicked the wrong player. Or if people were just tilted and came to their senses.
If the report is already sendt then there is nothing you can do now. But as Shapeshifter said. One report does not get someone banned or silenced. it takes atleast some reports from many players before they check it or take action from it.
i wish even more so that an 4 man team you’re with doesn’t count as 4 people when it comes to reporting the only random person on the team and the 4 other players couldn’t find another teammate and even though your doing better than some of the other teammates you still get the full blame for the loss.
some groups are just like and have to point a finger over a game they decided in the first place.

There’s nothing wrong with reporting people if they were toxic. No need to feel bad about it.
One report won’t do anything unless it was the straw that broke the camel’s back. If he doesn’t consistently get reported, he should be fine. No worries.
Respect for your attitude, but most games don’t simply ban people cause 1 report. unless they are cheating and the evidence is there.
you need like 999999999999 reports from different player’s to lead that person into getting silenced or banned so don’t worry your 1 report even if it wasn’t wrong it won’t do crap.
Be more careful.
Because of this weaponized and vindictive report system, fine people get banned. The last thing we need is accidental reports on top of trollports.
It’s amazing to read a thread where the OP is upset he made a false report. It’s a nice palate cleanser from the person who makes those “I reported 200 people today.” Solid display of character.
On paper false reports are punishable, in practice I’ve never seen anyone complain they been punished for doing so. As others have said your one report won’t make a difference unless this person was already toxic over many games. Best of luck to you.
